Can you recommend a nice quiet resort on Greece? Taking my Mum so dont want it too rowdy?

Wonderful place for you and you're mum would be Roda in Corfu, small fishing village but plenty of shops, terrific restaurants and plenty to do. Hubby & I are in our 50's and been for last 2 years and love it. Taken our family with us last year (son & partner in mid 20's) & they loved it too. Not loud or brash but nice & lots of choice of what to do at night although having a good, greek meal & sitting talking is best bet. Look at www.officialroda.com for more info (I check it out every day as keeps me up to date with what's going on until we go next time). Roda is flat so if mum has problem with hills she will be fine here. Sandy beach & lots of sunbeds with shallow water that's warm. Fantastic views as well. Loads of great accomodation if you want to go independent or can recommend Afrodite hotel (right on the sea front) if you prefer to be pampered (where we usually stay). Take a look I'm sure you will like it.

Kefalonia is exactly what you want. took my family there two years ago - it is beautiful, lovely restaurants and bars, friendly etc. etc. I would go there again.

Paxos or Anti-paxos are nice, but for somewhere a little easier to get to try Kassiopi at the northern end of Corfu; its been a few years since I was there but it was still nice and quaint little fishing village with few bars/ restaurants. Only the beach is pebble instead of sand.

Carol B has given you the place to go in Greece , beautiful place , been a couple of times and would not hesitate in going back there !! check out Myrtos Beach if you go , breathtaking !!

Have you heard of Messonghi in Corfu? It sounds right up your alley- beach, couple of bars and restaurants and quiet.

Levkas - beautiful Island Stunning scenery - boats trips to the other islands and best of all not spoilt -if you go you will not be disappointed

There are some lovely places in Greece.

I would recommend any of the following islands for peace and quiet and natural beauty and also the real Greece - so in no particular order:

kefalonia (very green island with nice beaches)
Paxos (very green island with stunning beaches with blue blue water - beaches on antipaxos - next to it are amazing)
Skopelos (this would be my first choice actually - the Island is stunning - imagine an island covered in pine forests that roll right down to a sparkling blue sea with plenty of coves, a harbour which is lovely to walk along in the evening and peace and quiet - and not too hot in summer)
lefkada or lefkas - Again blue blue water, plenty of beaches and very green!

My heart goes to Skopelos though. I have visited about 20 or so greek islands and I have to say this 1 is the one that I'd quite happily live in!
