My story is about "how I couldn't learn swimming"
Takes place in Ayvalık.
Year 2000.
My dad, being a very good swimmer, insists on teaching me how to swim. Saying
" Don't you ever get bored of only fishing. We are here on a holiday. Come on, and I will teach you how to swim..."
I, knowing how stubborn my father is, accepted his offer.

Benim pek deli babam öğlen sıcağında vermeye karar veriyor yüzme dersini. Hemde uzaktan eğitim metoduyla! Kendisi bi 15 metre kadar açılıp bana bağarmaya başlıyo;
" Bana doğru gel!"
Peki deyip belime kadar suya giriyorum.
" Daha gel.." diyor
Göğsüme kadar giriyorum.
" Ne korkak adamsın be, biraz daha gelsene" diyor.
16 yaşına yeni girmiş bir genç olarak, plajdaki hanımların benim korkak olduğumu düşünmelerini istemiyor ve biraz daha giriyorum suya. Artık denizdeki en ufak dalga bile burun deliklerimi kapatıyor. Su fobisi olan bir insan için extreme bir durum tabi. Bir adrenalin dalgalanması başlıyor bende.
Sonra babam uzaktan yüzme eğitiminin son ve en önemli direktifini veriyor;
" Zıpla ve ayaklarını çırp"
Kanımda dolaşan adrenalinin verdiği gazla zıplıyorum, ama içimden birses " çok zıplama " diyor. Dinliyorum sesi ve doğal olarak geri düşüyorum.
" Olmadı" diyorum babama. Çaresizce, belki vazgeçer umuduyla... Ama nafile. Direktiflere devam...
" Daha güçlü zıpla. Yapabilirsin!!"
Bu "yapabilirsin" lafı bana müthiş bir gaz ve güven veriyor.
Adrenalinin verebildiği bütün gücümle yere abanıyorum ve.....

Birden ortalık bulanıklaşıyor. "Allah allah... ne oldu ki şimdi" diyorum. Kafamın dibinden geçen yengeç beni kendime getiriyor ve suyun içinde tepetaklak döndüğümü farkediyorum. dışarıdan izleyenler için epey ilginç bir manzara olmuştur eminim. Babamda şaşırmış olacak ki hemen kurtarmaya gelmiyor. Neden gelsin ki? 1 saniye önce yüzme bilmeyen oğlu, kafa aşağıda, ayaklar suyun dışında dimdik, adeta su balesi yapabiliyor artık...

Allah'dan bulunduğum durumun su balesinden ziyade, topu topu 1.5 metrelik derinlikte boğulma olduğunu hemen anlıyor babam. Beni hemen kaldırıyor.
Sudan çıkınca;
" neden geciktin bu kadar, ne biçim babasın sen, boğuluyodum az kalsın, ühüüüüü, söyliycem seni anneme, bühüüü..." diyorum babama...
Babam bir anda kızarıyor. Çünkü kulaklarıma su kaçtığı için konuşmuyor, haykırıyorum ve kumsaldaki herkes bize bakıyor.
O zamandan beri gidemem Ayvalığa.
Buda böyle bir tatil anısı işte...

Was in Antalya-Side, i was 14 or 15.Was looking the ruins somewhere. A couple of tourist showed up with their guide.
I was sitting somewhere when they decided to take a picture. A man sat just next to me.As i saw the woman (she was his wife i think) was searching a place to sit next to the guy. I was standing to give room to the woman but man told me not to bother and smiled. I was not sure what he was saying because my German isn't that good. But i understood after the woman (was at her late 30s i think) sat on my lap, and took the picture with three of us like that.

God i was all red.

I will try to tell you if I can manage it in English.

Hanibal and I were at Avşa ( no daughter at that time ) and the holiday started very pleasant . Then one day the sea water ran in Hanibals ear while swimming. All day long he couldn't solve the problem and he was getting angry because he couldnt hear . Then one of the neighbors whom was like 1000 years old lady adviced Hanibal to get a newspaper and make it in a cone shape , put it in his ear and light it with a match . But she didn't mention the size of the cone :)))

So hoping that he will be able to hear again Hanibal got a newspaper and shaped it stuck it in his ear and burned it. Of course the first attempt didn't work out cos he had made the cone too small and once he lit it up it just burned and fell off. So seeing this he decided to make a bigger one ( or should I say a gigantic one ) then lit it up. Once he lit it up since this one was slightly bigger then the previous one the flames got bigger and bigger and like he started to run around in the house like mad with flames coming out of his ear.

I was like laughing my head off seeing him running around like Hommer Simpson when his butt is on fire. :)))))

So I'll give you two to choose from... :)

1) I was with an ex on vacation and as soon as we saw the sunset on the beach we went for dinner in a tavern nearby... We had lots to drink and we were almost done with our dinner, when I heard a scratching noise form the roof upon us. The roof was made of bamboo sticks and it was as if something was walking on it... :) I didnt pay any attention, and I kept talkiing to my ex, so suddenly something begun dripping in my ex's plate and on my ex's head... :):):):D:D:D I started laughing my head off, because there was a cat peeing... :):):) So funny ....if doesnt happen to you of course... :P :)

2) I was driving after a summer rainshower with my best friend in car. It was so hot though that we had the car windows wide open... The road however was bumpy and there were small ponds of water everywhere. At some point my car falls in a pond that was deeper than I thought and all the water it had in came ALLover my friend!!! From hair to toes! She had this disgusted look on her face and she was laughing and swearing on the same time. I was laughing so much that I could barely drive on a straight line!!!
To my bad luck and just before I stopped laughing a car from the other side of the road got into a pond and got ME wet allover from head to toes... It was ME now who had the disgusted face and was swearing and laughing on the same time!!! It was my best friend's turn to laugh her head off.... :):):) It was soooo funny... :):)

Somewhere in a small village in Turkey.... We just got to a small fisherman's harbor on our yacht when a man approached us and wanted to tell us something in Turkish we could not understand. After a while we understood that he wanted to sell us some pork meat, so we went with him. Through the village, everybody was smiling in the cafe, to his house on the outskirts of the village where he wanted to make a brief stop. He came out with an axe...we got a bit worried. We kept on walking and walking to the mountains for about half an hour. We finally got to a tree and a boar was hanging from it in the sun, surely a few days already. We just wanted a small piece of meat but he insisted that we have the whole boar. We tried to explain him that our fridge was too small on the boat and we couldn't buy it! Finally he gave up, took us back to village and invited us for some tea together with the rest of the village and everybody was laughing!

Thank you Morticia ...What a sweet memory of us.

And 1 mount ago we wisted İpek . We talk about all yahoo friends ( dedikodu yaptık ) . After say goodbye İpek and her family we saw a big fire at the bushy part . We back to the home under the smoke of it and only the speed of 50 km/h.

Where ever I go something burns :)

An opera concert (opera concertante) in Rome, where I had a jealusy scene by my mate because I had a talk with the artists at the interval, and after the "fight" I made unexpectedly the acquantance of an old Hollywood actress, with whom we became best friends (and still are).

You are always making me cry by saying 'Holiday'.
I don't really remember how long ago was my last one.
All I know is when I have chance to go on holiday It will be the 'Holly Day' of my life. =)

Totally Blunt

This is one of the first that I remember fondly. I am in primary school, but I don't remember how old I am. We have camped in a beautiful pinewood camping place Pullu, Anamur, with another family. We, the children, decide to go to the seaside without the grownups and my mother warns us, jokingly, "Dikkat edin, boğulup da gelmeyin, karışmam yoksa!" ("Be careful, don't come back drowned!") Being children, we find that hilarious. It still reminds me how beautiful those camping holidays were.

I was in Paris with my wife and a couple ( our best man and woman) and we visited the "Chataue de Versailles". It was fantastic but when we got in to the Hall of mirror, I was so excited that I asked from my wife to dance a waltz with me!
As it was expected, she refused my proposal because there were 20-25 other tourists there except us... but who can resist to me if I want something? So, we danced a while and we got out the hand clap and laughing of the rest tourist group! I think that I will never forget it.

Holiday memories? No, i can not recall any...in fact i can't remember what holiday is! Now i'll google it to remember...
