Eight days to cover Ireland , England France, Spain, Italy. And you are wondering how to travel? You have no clue do you? Eight days might give you time to do London and Paris maybe.

8 days to 'see' Europe? Come on.

First of all, I think you are being slightly ambitious, in 8 days you will have no time to see all these countires.
flights alone take plenty of time, if I were you fly into London, miss out Dublin as it is very much out fo the way and you shuld really do all of Ireland and spend a good level of time there.
then you could spend a few days in London, get an overnight train to Paris on the eurostar or on the ferry.
I think witht eh limited time you have you might be better looking at where you really want to go to, otherwise you are going to spend 8 days travelling.
But its your decision so have fun!

Cheapest way is to walk.

Are you completly insane??? You will never see all that in 8 days!
Maybe just London and Paris. I had 5 days in Paris and still did not see it all!!!
Cheapest would be bus ( www.eurolines.com) but its slow and you would not be seeing anything but the inside of a bus if you truely insist on seeing all these places. Even by plane which is quicker you would still be in transit for 50% of your time.
planes try www.skyscanner.net for possible cheap flights.
PLEASE CUT YOUR ITINARY IN HALF AT THE VERY LEAST!

The cheapest is the Eurolines bus.

Cheap airlines like Ryanair can often have very cheap fares, but they often use airports that are far outside of the cities they serve, and getting to and from the airports can cost a lot of money and add a lot of time to your trip.

I backpacked through Europe in the 1970's. I used a book by Arthur Frommer to guide me to the best spots and least expensive ways to seeing the countries. This will includes eating meals with the working people and staying in youth hostels, Get a Urail (spelling) pass before you leave and use the trains where you will ride first class for a good price. Personally I would forget France if you are from America as the French people are rude to Americans and only want your money. Spend as much time as you can in Spain and Italy but protect your valuables closely in Italy. Contact me if I can help you further.

- hitchhiking: don't spend any cent in transport.
- begging in streets: the easiest way to make some money and not dangerous (and you don't caught any diseases)

have a good trip in the old world!
