Denmark is a mix of socialism and free market.
Theres a very huge public sector and its expensive but despite one of the highest taxes in the world danes are still among the wealthiest in the world.

if you look at economic competitiveness Denmark is among the top 5 in the world, its voted as best country in the world to do business, corruption is virtually non existent and economic freedom is among the highest in the world.

There are some big hamburger-men like Rush Limbaugh who say all of Europe is "Communist" because they have national health care, good pensions, etc., and ,yes, pretty high taxes. I don't agree, though. I see Denmark as one of the freeest countries in the world. It also has a super high standard of living.

No probably misunderstood something.
Denmark has a very high rate of union organized employees (more than 75%) and it is assured, that for the same type of job the exact same wage is payed, regardless of the sex of the employee.

Pepcio
Of course, didn't you hear that Denmark is behind the Iron Curtain?
No, it's not. Gosh, where do you live?!

It feels like it, doesn't it? I detect irony here and I imagine you experienced the highest tax poured on you while you were merely making the ends meet. No, it is not a communist country: if it was, you COULD make a high living.

NO, denmark and sweden and norway are on a welfare system, the swedes call it the "third way" in between capitalism and communism,

they just are taxed alot so that the rich are narrowed down to the rest of the population in middle class, in return for the taxes they have free university, free schools, and free healthcare, but it is in some ways like communism, but it is as free as america.
