my Turkish husband told me in the first three weeks that we were dating one day I would be his wife, I laughed but he was correct and we have been married for 17 years. I guess he took this American lady serious |

uh-huh! I get it...
he said some romantic words, seduced you and nailed you...
now you are wondering yourself if the guy was serious eh?
when will you learn yoıur lesson?
you tried it once in Italy, and you got dumped
you tried it in Greek islands and Greek boys were no different
and now you did the same mistake AGAIN and try to put the blame on Turkish boys? so help you God! |

My bf is a wonderful kind, considerate, respectful, handsome Turkish MAN. Guys in general are not ready until the right woman comes along, when a man is ready to take a relationship serious with the woman he falls for, cultural differences doesn't hinder the relationship as long as both individuals are willing to be open to sharing the differences (as time passes, two people grow closer, embrace the cultural differences and develop a wonderful relationship). It's all based on individuality more than anything, one's willingness to explore opportunities within their relationships. I adore my Turkish man, he's beautiful - inside & out and he is different than any other guy I've ever been with. : ) |

It depends on the guy and the girl. I know of a few marriages between various nationalities. Just like any situation, there are some that are flings and some are life long partners. Marriages between different nationalities do bring up some unique problems, but they are very much possible. And it all depends on the one guy and the one girl. |

Why wouldn't they?
If a majority of Turkish
men here say they do
not take non-Turkish
women seriously, it
would only suggest
Turkish men were
raised in a racist
stereo typed enviorment.
Eww, and as for alanda's
answer he only serves
to prove there was very
little stimulus left after
his brain was totally
removed. hahahaha |

My fiancee is Russian.
Her name is Julia...
I met with her in msn.Than she came to Turkey - Istanbul than I went to Moscow for 15 days in her family's house...
I don't know to speak Russian and her family doesn't know to speak English or Turkish.
But I loved them SO much! :)
So, If a Turkish man loves a girl.If the girl cares him also he take it serious...
My best friend is fiancee with Polish lady.3 of my friend married with Ukranian lady...They are all very happy... :) |

Handful of my family members are married with foreigners. Our family has a Dutch wife, a Finnish husband and it cant be considered a foreign marriage but another cousin of my ma is married to a Turkish Armenian woman. Also another cousin of hers formerly got married to a Cyproit black woman (yes, interesting and few but there are black Cyproits in Cyprus) I'm not even mentioning the other people who are not family, I know who had foreign marriages.
None of you would have long enough time to hear my story about the foreign girls I had been together and how much I cared about them.
Tho individuals are individuals, in general Turks welcome foreign marriages more than any other. It's in the culture I'd say
EDIT: Offfff Ahan da çok fena topu 90'lara takarak koydu olaya noktayı. |

Well, my ex girlfriend used to speak English very well and we didnt have communication problems at all but i ve never thought about marriage. She either probably... That s impossible with me. I have to marry to a girl with whom i share the same cultural background. I just dont trust myself and would feel very alon in the relationship... On the other hand, speaking for europeans, they may like to have really open relationships -what they call open mindedness !?- which disturbs me.
