I'm gonna have to explain to the lovely LuLa that she lives near the Pacific and not near the Mediterranean..

LuLa.. You live near the Pacific ocean..in LA.. which is easily recognized by the gangs, earth quakes, and wildfires...

yeah sounds like a great vacation!!

I agree with Guv ^^^.
Went to Lake Garda a few years ago, most relaxing holiday I've been on.
Hotel was a little family run place right on the lake, lay on a sun lounger for the first three day's with a jug of wine.
I stayed in Malcesne, nice and quiet, no nightlife to speak of, like clubs or anything, so wasn't bothered by drunken crowds.
Some nice place's to eat, not too expensive, very friendly.
I didn't explore any of the other towns round the lake, but there are boats leaving all day to take you around.
A trip up Monte Baldo is a must too, take a good pair of shoes if you want to walk it tho, lol.

Yay I can help!

I suggest southern Spain: great weather all year round, awesome food, great beaches.....I should know - I lived there for a year!

There's loads of places to choose from. Andalucia is the southern region in Spain, and you're almost definitrely get a suntan. When I was living there I got a great suntan!

Here's the Andalucia tourism website: http://www.andalucia.com/

my favourite Mediterranean country with good food and wine is italy,if you have been try Cicily, its amazing, also the weather should be better than spain and portugal at this part of the year

My suggestion is Montenegro - the country I am from :) There are beautiful sandy beaches on the coast, we are famous for our wines, and I am sure you'll find the food delicious. Even though the price is not that relevant to you, you should have in mind that this is one of the cheapest countries in Europe.
