Do europeans have cars?

I hear gas is expensive.
and there are lots of trains.
do not many people own cars?
in the US people own 1 or 2 cars, each.
do people ride bikes to get around in europe?

of course they have cars. Have you ever heard of Volkswagen? Mercedes Benz? Fiat? Jaguar? Alfa Romeo?

All European car companies. All make cars, primarily, for the people in their countries to buy, and that's only a small sample.

Of course people have cars. And they drive them, and parking is horrendous, especially in the cities, and traffic is horrendous, especially in the cities.

And trains and public transport are significantly easier and less expensive, and you are right, MANY people go the public transport route. Many people ride bikes. And many people own cars.

It's just a more spread out mix than in the US.

yes penny farthings or horse and cart

Yes, Europeans have cars. The main reason why they don't use them as much as Americans is because in the bigger cities, it is much more convenient to walk or take a bus, since cars won't get you too far on those streets (trust me, it's a hasle). In smaller towns, people usually catch a bus or hitch a ride.

I'm Macedonian!!!

Our cars use petrol. Gas is exactly that- a gas.

I know they are the same thing in your vocabulary, but certainly aren't in mine.

I have a car, my mum has a car, my dad has a car and my brother has a car. Obviously, being so backwards that we are, they are powered using our feet aka Fred Flintstone.

Petrol is expensive- up to about £1.10 a litre. Cost me £27.72 to fill my tank up yesterday, but that will do me about 200 miles.

People in Amsterdam ride bikes, and there, bike theft is as serious a crime as car theft. There are 12 times more bikes than there are people, or something daft like that.

Anonymous.
no they walk, with a bee hive on their head.
i hope i helped.

yeah europe is the ones that gave us the expensive cars european car's Duh: lol

Aurora
Sadly enough we Europeans also have cars and are thus polluting the world as you over there.

People in some countries use bikes more than others, especially in Denmark and in some other countries, like Holland too. Europe is not so small a continent that we could ride bikes from one city to another or one country to another.

There are trains in Europe, it“s a nice way of travelling. I“m sorry to say that here in Europe people also own 1 or 2 cars each. Gas is rather expensive, but I have understood that you over there in Canada and US have to pay more for the gas than Europeans!

Have you heard about Nordic walking? You have two snow sticks and walk, pushing the sticks like you do when you are skiing and walk faster than you ordinarily would do. (sorry, can“t explain it good enough). You really get good exercise, not only in the winter, but whenever you want to.Nowadays when people get fatter and fatter, this kind of exercise is very good for you.

The Nordic walking is spreading over the world. Last I saw the snow sticks used, was in Malta. Hope the Nordic walking will spread to your country too. Hope you would try it, but be careful you can be hooked.
As you know it“s not healthy to just sit in a car or watch TV, so why not try this kind of exercise I suggested.Soon you will see your neighbourhood getting "the Nordic walking fever".

Good luck!

....:)...
yes they do

yes we have two gas guzzling expensive cars....but our minimum wage is 20 dollars an hour and the towns are very tight knit so u don't have to travel very long distances unless u are out in the country (like us, hahah). Not to mention in Denmark we pay actually double for the car price due to our high taxes...ug. And yes there are trains and bikes here too but we'd rather take our cars. Trains can get expensive.
