Despite the "Yes" answers given, it would appear that some are not aware that European Union Citizens do not need a passport to travel between EU countries. However, for the purpose of having proof of identity, I would take my passport. |

You don't need a passport. You need some kind of photographic identification, though. Which is why most people assume you *need* to take a passport. |

Yes is the proper answer, even though the Czech republic is part of the EU.
If you are from the UK, other photo ID might be enough but the UK is not part of the Shengen Countries, so you will need to use an official document that is approved for border crossing travel, (passport or equivalent.)
If you are not European (USA or other) you will need a passport, and maybe visa too. |
