At the time of writing, 100ytl=$70=£35.50; 100ytl=€53=£35.50.
Therefore it makes no difference to you. In Turkey, there is little difference between Euros and dollars in their perception of usefulness. However, the dollar has recently lost value so may be expected to spring back (or not)!

Come on, she wants to send money and you're telling her that it might be a scam. That's none of your business, she's not asking you if she should send or not, she asks how to send the money. What some of the answerers doing is completely rude and immoral.

Doesn't your friend have a bank account? That way easier and safer.By the way ,

100 YTL = 70.08 USD = 53.25 EURO

last time I was there, you got much better rates from the taxi-drivers than the banks, can you send him Lire (cash)?

Where am I?
Euros would be best. They even accept that in stores. i paid with them while being in turkey last year.
