Do many Turks have 'asian' looking eyes?

I kinda do but I have no Asian connections in my blood line. I am half Albanian - race wise- actually.

I have no idea why my eyes are almond shaped and I never paid much thought to it.

I really wonder why other people do, anyway...

I have only met 2 people in istanbul so far who look the way you described. They were tatars and they came to turkey 150 years ago. Percentage is around 1%.

Well, since geographically, a large portion of Turkey is in Asia, then, by definition, whatever their eyes look like is then Asian. So yes, a majority of Turks have "Asian" looking eyes, because a majority of Turks live in Asia.

India is also a quite populous country in Asia. Consider what the eyes of the citizens of India look like. Those are "Asian" eyes as well. Look all throughout the Middle East and see more examples of "Asian" eyes.

i dunno . turks or other european have same eyes colour and look no different from other westerners. asian or not they are beautiful in their own way.all i know they say asian looks are exotic :)

I had this friend named mert, everybody in our classroom thought he was asian... He had hazel and Asian looking eyes, Isn't that really weird? He said he wasn't asian at all..
I lived in Istanbul for 13 years, meaning all of my childhood, I probably saw like 3 people like that...

No , I'm living in Australia ...and some Australians (majority) eyes are more asian than mine

Ok so what's the big deal? lets say yes....now what? does it make 'em less valuable 'cause they have Asian lookin' eyes? or does it make 'em most valuable if they have so called westerner shaped blue 'n green eyes? I think Asian lookin' eyes are beautiful....however it is like 1 in a million in Turkey

yes some do like that bellydancer Didem, but most have rather almond shaped eyes and not really 'Asian'

we usually have almond shaped dark eyes...
Asian looking eyes also are beautiful in my opinion.

Nope not much.They are mostly asian origined people who live in Turkey and some of the Turkish people who live in Eskisehir area.we call them "tatar" They have asian eyes but in general %99 of Turkish people have normal eyes.

High T is right. So what if they do have 'Asian' eyes. Are we judging people by their looks? But for your information, there are very few Turks that look like that. vast majority (99%) have 'European' eyes.

If you mean this (-.-) by "Asian looking eyes", I can say that the percentage is very low. The ones who have that owe this not being from middle Asia, but somewhere else.

I'm not from Turkey, but anyway.
Many say does it matter? Of course it doesn't matter at all, but anyway as an answer I should say:

No, few people in Turkey have Asian looking eyes, or even Asian racial characteristic, comparing demographical characteristics in Turkey with other Turkic people, for example Azerbaijani (Azerbaijan the country I mean - not the region in northwest Iran) or Kazakh people you will see great difference, they are "more Asian" in looking.

The reason is that after Turkic people immigration to Anatolia, they have mixed with the originally Anatolian people living there a lot during centuries, who were from different races. This kind of homogenization always has happened.

However, these things don't matter at all, since we live in 21 century, not 3000 years ago when racial issues were at the top priority (!).
