i think you might be able to communicate. i live in Poland at the moment. Almost everyone is learning English, but you will find out that Poles don't like making mistakes and so most of the time they feel quite shy if they have to speak a language that they are not used to. But definitely you won't feel like there is no communication at all. try learning their language as well in the few days that you are there, they will appreciate it. |

I used to be an English teacher in Poland - and yes, you'll be able to communicate with them well, especially in the bigger cities. Young kids in Poland are very eager in learning new languages and practicing their skills. |

Maybe because in Poland teenagers are learning how to speak English in the British style not the american style so you may never know if they don't speak polish. |
