last time i went to moscow nearly everyone had a cellphone.
even typical russian grandmas, with their canes and scarves on their head have fancy phones hanging around their necks.
however, the service there doesn't use contracts (to the best of my knowledge). most people use a minute based pay as you go type of service. |

people carry cell phones EVERYWHERE these days, and there are signals all over the place, too.
I rented a European cell phone for my last trip, and the salesguy said they don´t have camera phones over there. There are no signals to send photos on phones.
Baloney!!! Everyone had ordinary cell phones, that work just like American ones, (unlike mine, which worked like we were in Mayberry). and They carry them everywhere, and they use them, just like Americans do. All the time. Russia should be no different.
