Yes we do. And in Scotland, Wales and Ireland too!!
Even in little remote villages, why do I feel like you imagine we're a backward country.....
I was in the Canary Islands last month, and they have them there too!!

No, in England we don't have such things. We have wizened old men with long white hair and black frock coats, sitting on high stools scratching away at ledgers with quill pens by the light of guttering candles.

hi Sadie... Of course we do! We have come out of the dark ages now you know, LOL!
London is (or used to be till a this Crash) the Finance/Money capital of Europe, if not the World.
Need your card type and Bank name to answer properly, but all MasterCard, Cirrus, Visa cards work.
Google the type of card you have and add "UK ATM machines", and you should get a list and map of where the ATM machines are that accept your card for the town/city you are coming to.

It is normally the best way to get UK money as the banks convert at a higher rate than you would get at a Bureau de Change.

greenorlagh
Of course!! What a daft question!

Of course there are ATMs in England - they are all over Europe.

Check with your bank that your card will be accepted before you travel, and give yourself enough time to order a new card for the job if you need to.

Rocky
Yes, there are ATM's in the U.K. which take debit, credit cards and such from all over the world so don't worry... :-)

Take care.

desperate2lose
yes girl..they dont just go away with shillings lol

Yes, There are lots of ATM's in the UK. Withdraw cash from ATM's with a bank's logo on it (generally the ones that are built into the wall). These banks generally won't charge for using their ATM, although your bank may charge for using your card overseas. Most ATM's will take Visa, Mastercard, Cirrus, Maestro, Visa Electron, Solo, and some will take Amex.

Jang
yes. i went there a year ago and i was able to withdraw from my bank account in US using my debit card.

agooddub
If it has Cirrus or Maestro on the back, no problem.

yes,ATMs all around Europe as well as in England will accept your DC. I'm Canadian and i used Royal Bank and TD bank cards, they both worked.
Have a good time:)
Edit: Just a quick tip. If you're taking your Visa or some other credit card call them two weeks before you leave and let them know where you're gonna travel. For Visa you'll need a security code to withdraw money from ATMs. I'm not sure for other cards,i'll assume it's the same. If you don't tell them you're traveling they might block your card for security purposes.
Also try not to go to ATMs too often because of the fees.

migi
if you are from a different country the atm will pick it up from your card and tell you to choose a language of your choice
