One day I was sitting with Jalal Talabani and I asked him the same question. He hesitated and sent for Massoud Barzani to consult

the two of them thought a Lot about it and said
"We never will and never can be so great as the glorious Turkish Nation but thanks for asking this question. We'd be honored if you call us "brother".

and then both bended over and started licking my boots.
(I think it's kurdish habbit of respect. They always like to lick my boots)

I consoled them and they promise to be better human beings in the future. o this they they cannot keep their promises but they are trying..

after many questions asked about brother ship it make me thinking again what the brothership between countries.
Yes there re cultural negotiations and similarities between turkey and its neighbours.

if brothership means having same culture turkish people re not even brother to each others because there re even cultural conflich amongs each others.

if you want to know ı feel sympaty about them after their greift on war. I think now a days turks start to feel sympaty because of the feeling of pit to iraqi people.

i think my answer will be yes no matter what country you will ask if it is our brother or not.
Turkey is brother to Iraq.. China.. Mongalia.. Brazil.. Argentina...

i would advice you not to write brother in your question. i think brother/sister better than solely writing brother.

Officially, No they are not, but there is a Turkic ethnic group living in Turkmeneli, Northern Iraq.....How is that?

Why does everyone ask if Turkey is brother with a country ? Do we have to be ? I can't really understand what lies beneath these questions. Do we ask you if you believe Afghanistan is your brother country or not ? Please mind with your own business..

I know only of South Korea which is called a brother country in Turkey. They say the same about Turkey.

This has something to do with the brave Turkish soldiers who fought and died in the Korean War. You might have seen the giant Turkish flag in World Cup 2002 made by the Koreans and the scenes of brotherhood between the players of both teams after the game for the 3rd place.

Other countries are friends, neighbors etc.

Don't forget to ask the same question about Antigua, Aruba, Andorra and Liechtenstein. My answer will always be the same.
