One day I was sitting with a Syrian friend and I asked him the same question.
He immediately knelt down before me and said "We can never be so great as the glorious Turkish nation, never!.."
But we'll be honored if you call us brothers.."
and he burst into tears.
Gee, what a scene it was. Then I consoled him and said "God bless you bro.."
Since then all trolls went mad and they constantly ask the same stupid questions over and over again.
Are you one of them?
Pls see the link below to see if how right my answer is: |

Stupid question! Everyone who knows the basics of ancient history at the Mediterranean they must know that Syrians just like the Greeks an ancient race and there for over 2000 years, Syrians are the first using an Alphabet, Money, Shipping, and other things.
Because most are Muslims now does not mean their brothers or whatever with the Turks!
Also all those famous sweets people know Baklava, Turkish Honey, and so on Greeks and Turks say those are our sweets bullshit most comes from Syria , and I am Greek! |

I know only of South Korea which is called a brother country in Turkey. They say the same about Turkey.
This has something to do with the brave Turkish soldiers who fought and died in the Korean War. You might have seen the giant Turkish flag in World Cup 2002 made by the Koreans and the scenes of brotherhood between the players of both teams after the game for the 3rd place.
Other countries are friends, neighbors etc.
Don't forget to ask the same question about Antigua, Aruba, Andorra and Liechtenstein. My answer will always be the same.
Thanks for the 2 points.

Been there before. Why do you keep asking essentially the same questions?

Syria is just waiting for Orthodox Christian Unity armies to smash the Kemalsits so that the Syrians can re-take the Hatay Province with Antioch as it's capital after it was stolen by the French and handed to Kemalists...there are more Syrian troops on the border with Turkey than there are on border with Israel |

They're cousins actually. |
|

Why not?
They were once one country and shared history.
They are neighbors and relatives.
Look at Europe. They are very different to form a union. |
