Do you believe the referee tried to give the match to Czechs?

Additional Details
I mean how he didn't allow Emre to come on after the injured player was out. Meanwhile we conceeded a goal. Both the ref and the 4th ref on the side were reluctant in allowing Emre to join. As for Volkan, he could have given a yellow card to both players.

Yes the referee! My God, it was SO obvious that he was trying to give the match to the Czechs! He didn't give our fouls, he gave out cards unnecessarily and he kicked Volkan out! (Although, what Volkan did was surely very inappropriate) Think of what would have happened if we had to deal with the penalties

That Swede should be ashamed of himself!

Ehem, BUT in the end of the day, WHO WON? -against all odds-

Türkiyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!...

Hi Anlarm,

No, it was just a misunderstanding, actually.

I didn't meant to be mean or unfair towards Turkish team.

In fact, there was a problem of communication with the 4th referee, that's why we didn't react in time about Emre and the second goal.

Don't worry, you won the game, after all !

PS : Volkan, I beg you apologizes for my having given you a red card, but you know I was just doing my job. You shouldn't have kicked Koller, so I was obliged to take you out of the game.

PS#2 : Ahem ! Россия - Чемпионы евро 2008, what does " Hakem orospu çocugu" mean ? Is it a compliment ? Oh, thank you, my friend, I'm so flattered.

yes. and i was very disappointed about it. i cant believe Volkan got a red card. it was clearly a yellow card offence. i dont believe he should have got away with it. but a red card was taking it a bit too far. great game though.

Who gives a fogg about what Ronald Reagen's youth type refree tried to do. We were meant to win this game and it happened that way. By the way Terim's gestures and mimics climaxed tonight. He's made nice additions to his gesticulations and oh well he was more or less bearable tonight only because we won.
Ok, NEEEEEXT...
Btw condolences to our long time brothers, Greeks for screwing up as expected. As we say in Turkish "Grasshopper hops once and twice but this or that ,it fails in the end" Hehe. *grins*

You're referring to the kirmizi card of Volkan ?

Maybe...I don't know...

Anyway, we showed how strong is the determination of our people :

WE NEVER SURRENDER.

Bravo guys !!

I'm very sorry to have to disagree with you so passionately, please read on. You must consider the following when saying Volkan's offence was a yellow card:

1. Football IS a contact sport. Anyone who says otherwise does not understand the meaning of the word's compound parts, and has obviously never seen or heard of a tackle or watched Italy's Claudio Gentile play.
2. Koller's size, build, and reaction to a foul is irrelevant.
3. Off-the-ball incidents in football are illegal. They are punishable by a sending-off in most International Tournaments.
4. Reactions to fouls are only relevant if there was no foul committed in the first place.
5. When the ball is out of play, an incident in which another player is struck or kept from moving is called 'retaliation', irrespective of whether something happened before among two players. Retaliations bring the game into what FIFA and UEFA are passionate about referring to as 'Disrepute', and treat such incidents as aforementioned 'off-the-ball' issues.

Firstly, Volkan did not commit a foul. He can clearly be seen pushing Koller once the ball was out of play. That means the game had not continued yet - that's what injury time is for, to make up for times in which the players are on the field and the clock is running, but the game is not being played. Therefore, the incident needs to be treated as a retaliation, which are illegal in all sports I know of, football too. With no physical provocation, Volkan walked over to Koller and pushed him to the ground. 100 kilos plus or not, Koller was really pushed, and that is all that matters. He did not dive. His reaction was not relevant to the incident; he could have not fallen over and appealed to the linesman, or Assistant Referee in more recent terms, to complain about Volkan's conduct. The Swedish official would have dismissed Volkan in the same manner irrespective of Koller's reaction - such is their training; to judge not the reaction, which can be feigned, but the conduct of the players.

No..there was no allowable stoppage for the sub to come on. If he wanted to give the game to the Czechs he would have sent the keeper off(like he did) and then gave a penalty.

Anyway was a great game for a neutral, action packed..loved it!

Pinguino
Volkan knocked down Koller (although only by pushing him, not hitting) when the ball was out of the field, so the game was, in that moment, stopped; consequently by rules a red card was required. It was not a foul committed during an action in order to stop the player, it's considered a more serious foul.
Anyway, if really the referee was prone to give the match to the Czech, he had the chance to disallow the third Turkish goal stating the player was in offside; actually he wasn't, but it would had appeared as an "average mistake". On the other side, he didn't give an indirect free kick to Czech Republic (inside Turkish area, near the goal line!), when a Czech player was hit on his head by a Turkish player who clearly lifted up his leg in a dangerous play.

Hakem orospu cocugu

Bix
No, he didn't. I saw the game LIVE and there was nothing wrong in his decisions.

Volkan is a typical Fenerli who can't control his emotions...

BTW: Turkey won yesterday not because of Fatih Terim but despite Fatih Terim...

and Arda....

I hope that Galatasaray can keep him. He is one of the best Turkish football players of all time. Same thing for Nihat...

Yesterday, after the match you should have seen the faces of the Czech fans. I really pitied them. Allah kimseye göstermesin.
