Croatia shares borders with Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. no need to check on the net as i use to live there for 21yr.

It's part of the old Yugoslavia, between Greece and Italy.
Because of the civil wars there, it's been in the news almost constantly for about 5 years. Surely most people know roughly where it is?

Yes, KVALA LAPA, Blossom... it's in the former Yugoslavia,...just below Slovenia. They speak Serbo-Croatian throughout most of the former yugoslavia.

I have been there, about 12 yrs ago...we landed in Belgrad and toured Slovenia and Croatia,....so THERE! (lol)
I had a marvelous time,...the people hold back a bit to foreigners, at first. However, they are very friendly and hospitable, once they get to know you. Their food is fantastic (if you like GARLIC) and the wine and beer is strong.....but good also.... (I drank too much).....you HAVE-TOO, tho...just to keep up with them. Beautiful scenery and marvelous old architecture. Not many lakes, (the Bled) but lots of mountains and rivers
GREAT PEOPLE who love to get together for good food, good wine (nastrovia) and and good fun,....by the end of the night everybody is singing,...great voices and harmony too!
