Miss it like hell. Was born there, half Russian, but was brought up in my father's homeland, used to spend my summer holidays at our dacha up to the age of 17 when went there to study. Finished studying and returned back "home" by leaving my real home behind....cause home is where your heart is and mine will always be there, will never leave... |

I was 9 when I moved here and I'm 25 now so most of my life has been spent in the US. But I get butterflies in my stomach in the subway in Moscow.. everyone speaking Russian and everything seems so familiar. In general though I'm happy that I live here but there are definitely feelings of nostalgia |

Um go back to Russia~~if you miss it so much. Don't get me wrong, I visited Russia and found it be a humbling place. So beautiful and lots of culture. I actually miss the borsche! Met some nice people there! I actually miss it a bit.
But there is nothing wrong with Russian pride especially if you are of Slavic descent. But being an American is great too. There are more opportunities here. So much more you can do. Organize a Russian rally there if you are so bored. I miss Russia but I'm not even a Russian. But so many Russians and other immigrants come here. I wonder why? LOL I plan on meeting my wife in Russia. Wish me luck!:) |

I live abroad for 2 years now and visit Russia once in half a year. It means a lot to me - there're my parents, my childhood, friends from university, there stayed memories from my first love and my student years.
I start missing it when i just return from there but normally i lead my life without paying much attention to thinking about it.
It has a place in my heart and like when i have my legs i don't think about them and don't miss them. |
