No you don't need injections to holiday in Turkey. Just bring bug spray if you are prone to bites from mosquito's, there can be a lot of them around areas where there is water. A great place to holiday, you will love it. Very different than the Caribbean or other European holiday resorts.

Regarding not putting paper in the loo. I had this happen in Lanzarote also. It is just because the plumbing is not suited to large amounts of paper being flushed. A fair share of the poppulation are muslims in Turkey and they wash after using the toilet and do not foul their hands by using paper to clean themselves. They use a jug of water to flush the loo. Different cultures have different habits. The joy of travel.

To travel to Turkey it's not essential to have injections. However where ever you go it's always advisable to have a tetanus injection.

no just come back from turkey you dont need needles only plenty of money

why wont he have the injections- is he scared of needles

i went to turkey a couple of years ago and i didnt need injections, I've never heard of any one getting injections..

Jenufa
If you go to the mediterranean/tourist part of Turkey then you do not need injections. Injections are only required if you go much further inland toward the Iraq/Iran/Syria border and as this is not a tourist area you wont be visiting here. Even having said that its usually only tetanus that you're advised to get. Although you are advised not to drink the water in Turkey it is because of its high mineral content not because of any risk of catching anything - I use the tap water for making tea and only problem is its like the hard water in England so you get a scum in the kettle and in the cups.

some parts they suggest you might want to have Malaria injections but it is not necessary and I have never had it.

Lauren
Because they don't have very good sanitation , which means you cannot flush the loos you have to put paper in a bin next to the loo in some parts.
