No ! Each country has it's identity, history, language, etc.
There is no reason all these countries to be 1. We only have to improve EU but with the today's structure.
EU is a family - team of countries who joined their powers to face the international issues and challenges of today and help each other in need.

But they are not one country and they must stay like this.
There are not many things in common to help connecting all these countries (27 at this time) in one !

the 50 odd countries that make up europe, each with their own language customs and government might take exception to your idea.

The EU has already established a common currency, the Euro, and the removal of border controls under the Schengen agreement. It shouldn't be one big country, however, because there are so many unique cultures and languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian, and many others)!

I think the whole world should be one, but I know we are far from that. I'd like to see Europe united in the true sense of the word, but I don't know how it would be possible to harmonize the cultural differences that exist. I guess that if all the different cultures that exist in Europe where unified under a common term like the European civilization (which in reality that is the case) then it could be easier for the people of each country to accept to become one....

On a side note, I do believe that as the human species advances, there will be a diminishing number of countries. I think that before the world will become one, without any borders, each continent will represent a country. I do believe that it's the destiny of this world to become one and I am sure some day it'll happen.

It would be a full fledged war coz every country has its own laws and religious beliefs. Which country is going to change them to be like the other country? Like for example, in my country we don't have divorces or abortions or gay marriages, should we change them coz other countries have them? Also if it will be one country, which language is going to be used for all, and does this mean we should abandon our mother language? So no as it wouldn't work.

i think it's a possibility, clearly many steps have now been taken in that direction and that is what the 'leaders' want. that way it would be the strongest most powerful in the world, from every point of view, but i'm not sure if that would be for the best. i mean every country has its own traditions, and people from every country are different, very different and then language would also be a problem.
so i don't really think europe will be a country per say but that it will have one government yes, we will end up having the same laws, well we already do really, it will just be more united against everyone else, i think that's the main purpose, unity
