Yes sorta, because they were once one nation under the Ottoman Empire, maybe many of them interbred during that time which was like 700 years I think

I don't think so I'm a blonde Anatolian greek (only half Greek) and I look nothing like my turkish gf she has brown hair and blue eyes and pale skin while I have blonde hair green eyes and olive skin, and I do not agree that the scandinavians look a like (also half Norwiegian) because the fins look like blonde asians and the Swedish are similar to the norwiegans but tend to be more round. I could go on and on but I won't overall I disagree through generalizations that I formed similar to what you did by posting this question.

4 but I do know for sure that
Turks having an Asian ancestry
with a far away origin,
is what makes them very unsimilar, and
explains why none of the people
you mention are really never
mistaken for a Turk.

I've watched some video clips of Turkish artists in youtube and most of them don't look like Greeks. Some of them, though, do.
The same you can say with the others that you've mentioned. Armenians are much darker than Greeks, but they are one of the most beautiful folk, in my opinion. I've met some Armenian women in Greece (and men) and they are the most gorgeours people I've ever seen. Of course it is a personal opinion.

About what Blunt said, it is true. There isn't a scientific proof of a secret school and THAT'S WHY SCHOOL BOOK DON'T MENTION the secret school. It is believed to be a rumor that was spread by the Orthodox church. in order to stabilise their role as educators and leaders of Greek nation, which is in fact very much true (they were indeed educators).
BUT...It is also true that the Orthodox church had a good relationship with the Sultan.
On the other hand it is true that many Patriarchs were killed with very cruel ways, as Ottoman Rule was never liberal (to no one) and OF COURSE the Christians payed 14 times more taxes and undergone some humiliations/discriminations, I mean it was clear to them that they were 'slaves', a lower kind of ...subjects. There were also a time that Ottomans practised extended islamizations, but we mustn't judge them with the nowadays mentality.
The fact is that Christians lived for ages under the Ottomans, with one way or another, and even if something 'bad' happened, it is lost in the time and could someone say that it happened in another era.
IN THE CONTRARY, you can't say the same thing about what happened in 20th century and this is something that Turkish people must understand, in my opinion.

Italians have the mediterranean colors and body -face structure,Polish have more Slavic appereance French are tottaly different and only Germans and AUstrians are look like.

In some ways they might look similar. But generally NO. I am Armenian and I have been confused for a Greek, Italian, Mexican, and Iranian.

If you have read history then you know that Armenia, Turkey, Greece and Iran had what they call "cradle of civilizations" There were many wars, there were many intermarriages, and there were many mix of these people. While Turks originally come from Asia, by mixing with others in the middle east and Caucasus, they are today compared to Greeks, Italians, Armenians and Iranians.

Greeks look like Europeans, especially those from the Balkans, because guess what, that is what they are. And I know many Greeks who can easily pass for Polish, French, German, etc.

yes,you're right actually.nations live close to eachother mostly have similar look.consider korean and chinese,indian and pakistani,norwegian and swedish people.And people in mediterranean,middle eastern and near east countries like Greece,Armania,Iran,Italy and Turkey "MOSTLY"have dark complexion.But one important addition is in some regions in turkey(as marmara and black sea)people have more fair complexion that's because many people immigrated from balkans and caucasia from the time of ottoman empire to our time.....Before answering with the racist prejudiced mind,read this carefully-->i didn't generalize,i always said ''mostly'' not ''exactly''.ofcourse everynation has some difference but it would be very ignorant speech when you say greeks dont look like turks or iranian to iraqi..etc.do you think greeks look like danish people?what i wanna say is people live close eachother geographically,also look like eachother-it doesnt mean they are the same like twins.you can notice a dutch or an scottish in greece or in turkey,you could easily say s/he is foreign in a crowd.but cannot say this for a greek in turkey or a turk in greece.-by the way,i've been to both of those countries.

You can find similar looking people in Turkey, Greece, Armenia, Iran and Iraq, but you can find dissimilar people, too.

And the Ottoman Empire didn't persecute Greeks, they were organized under the Orthodox Patriarchy and definitely didn't need secret schools, because they had legal ones. Especially after the plunder and massacre of the Crusades, the Orthodox Patriarchy flourished under Ottoman rule and it helped the Orthodox peoples preserve their identity. To claim otherwise is plain ignorance. Anyone who doesn't believe may read the history of the Bozcaada Church.

Armenians and Iranians and Iraqis might look SIMILAR, because they each had a part of them that was part of the Persian Empire. BUT, they do have their differences. Greeks and Turks do not look alike. Greeks managed to keep their ethnicity even after centuries of slaughter, rape and torture by the Ottoman Empire and managed to hold their culture together by holding secret schools in monestaries.
