I'm sure you are confused because Maria Callas was never seen in public without a dark wig, and contacts to make her eyes look brown. In reality, however, she was blue-eyed with blonde hair......100% Macedonian, just like her 1st cousin, Brad Pitt. |

Maria Kallas or Callas was born as Kalogeropoulou and as is customary in the USA they shortened the name.
No connection with the Callas of Asia who are considered direct descendants of Alexander the Great because of close intertribal marriages that kept their line intact.
Gruevski, was however second in the invitation. Callas people were invited to Greece many years ago as soon as it was discovered the closeness to Alexander's line.
That is one more fact Skopia is trying to exploit in order to substanciate a history for the country that does not exist . |

Judging from her black hair and dark eyes, I'm not sure (Macedonians are blond, you know). But somebody here mentioned that she was in reality blonde and blue-eyed and that she was simply wearing a wig and contacts. If that's true, yes she could have been. |

Yes, she was Gligorov's cousin. She tried to be famous in Macedonia, but there were more famous artists than her in the world wide famous Skopje Opera House, so she had to limit herself to the Scala of Milan.
