I hope so. When I was in the first grade 50 years ago, there was a dog from Lapland named "Numpy."

We not only named a fellow student after this dog, but I've gone on to believe in him and Lapland throughout the years.

Ricky D
I hope so. I send cards there every year!

Dr Schmoo
Lapland is just like your Lap. It disappears when you stand up.

Yes. Not as a country though - It's a region that spans over the Northern part of Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia, just above the Polar Circle. It gets its name from the Lapp people (also known as Sami) who live there as a minority. They are an ethnic group that have their own language (related to Finnish) and are famous for their reindeer keeping and beautiful costumes.

luke_jamez
Yeh, Santa does exsist, well hes dead now, but were talking over a thousand years ago!
