Yep... I think everyone does. It's clearly not about the songs anymore, quite sad really.

Hey Tommy you've lost the plot that's what makes Eurovision so funny and controversial i watch it just to listen to
Terry Wogan.
the programme cracks me up!!!

I don't we should declare war over it Paul J!!!

Yes I think it should all be stopped now and Terry Wogan can go int retirement

Qu'est ce que tu pense?
Not really, you shouldn't vote for your own country if they suck, you should vote for the person who should rightfully win.

IMHO "Russia voting for Belarus" was absolutely normal this year. The point is that belorussian singer was trained by Phillip Kirkorov ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filipp_Kirkorov ) and his show was made exactly as other Kirkorov's shows. IMHO, Kirkorov doesn't worth listening, but they love him in Russia very much and he is a very popular singer among Russians. So, why wouldn't Russians like someone who sing exactly as their favorite singer?

Despite this point you're absolutely right: the scoring system is awful.

GAVIN E
My wife and I were discussing this last night.
The way they score for their neighbouring countried s a big farce.
I think that the acts shouldn't show which country they are respresenting, so that the voting will be solely judged on the song and not which country they are representing.

Totalling. It was so disappointing, the song wasn't THAT bad.

Always has been, the voting has always been used as a way of settling old scores than being about the music.

Yer i think that it is all a set up and everone in the same area votes for each other.

Same old thing year after year. That's what makes it such fun - trying to guess how many points each country is going to give to its neighbours/allies/the country they owe the most money to. It's a long time since Eurovision was actually about the songs. Terry Wogan does a cracking job sending it up each year. By the way, I thought the GB song wasn't bad and the Irish one was a bit better. At least neither country will have to go to the expense of hosting the contest next year.

it seems the eastern europeans like to live in our country but do not like our music
