Greek history and cheap prices! Turkey is a country that has a big population and area their Businesss is also bigger than most of the countries in the Balkan region and there is more busines people visiting Turkey. They are accommodating mostly to western European countries and north American countries while they are Muslim country and Muslims from near by countries visiting Turkey. Another reason they control the straights of Bosporus that divides Asia and Europe, this also adds more visitors to Turkey as people want to go the countries that are bordering with the Black sea. Than there is also the ruins of the Byzantine empire, Troy, Ephesus and other well known historic all cit ties that were not Turkish at one time. Also the combination and contrast of the Muslim and Christian world it make Turkey attractive to tourists. |

Turkey has a very good climate for sun-seekers and a number of well developed seaside resorts. There is a large variety of archaeological and historical sites. Turkey's largest city is Istanbul, which was the ancient capital of both the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires and therefore has many interesting landmarks. Turkey is more easily accessible from northern Europe than the Mediterranean coast of Africa and more stable politically. Because of it's location it is also more popular with visitors from Russia, the Middle East and Japan than other European destinations. The Turkish New Lira is a relatively weak currency and this makes Turkey an inexpensive holiday destination. |

I think the answer "guaranteed sunshine, friendly service, excellent facilities, great food, interesting culture, the best ancient archeological sites, amazing markets, very hygienic butcher shops, very clean, parks, trashcans everywhere, good nightlife, safety, the best marinas, supermarkets with too much choice, exotic places" was copied from a disney world advertisement(lol).
Wow, that answer was almost as funny as the answers here that suggest that it is a sexual attraction alluring tourists into turkey(lol). |

I think the entire Mediterranean does well with tourism and Turkey does especially well because it can attract Middle and upper Middle class middle easterners to places like Bodrum and Anatolia which are a step above similar places in Sharm El Sheik but the Ottoman, Byzantine, Roman and Greeks ruins are of world wide importance while and Istanbul and Izmir can easily attract religious tourists as well as European vacationers and there is a lot of options for lower middle class Europeans, young people and great accommodations for well to do vacationers. However, the most important quality about Turkey is that for the most part is not jaded by Tourism. Cities like Bodrum may be entirely soulless manufactured for tourism these says but most places including Kusedeshe have a real and accessible interior. Very few places can support tourism and tourists and not create an artificial barrier the tourist world and the reality of the place. It's one of those rare places where tourists are still considered quests rather than obnoxious invaders. |

What I love about Turkey :
People: They are ready to help you. As a woman whenever I needed help I found somebody to ask and they helped me through the difficulty. I made nearly all the regions in Turkey. In the small villages they even invite you to their homes to drink Turkish coffee or airan yogurt drink. I have visited Turkey many many times with my girlfriends. It is a very safe country.
In big cities they respect to the elders, they give their seats to the elders or women with children. They salute each other there is always communication.
Service at the hotels and the restaurants: Today if I go to some countries and go to a restaurant i am sure I will wait hours to get my food or the servers will be freaks. When I am in Turkey the problems are always solved, the servers or hotel or restaurant management are always helpful. Service is fast.
Sightseeing and more: Turkey has wonderful places. They amazing beaches. I can not compare to beauty to any country in Mediterranean.
Fun: You can find a lot ofactivitiess. In Turkey there is always activity, people love having fun, eating, drinking. |

The REAL reason is that it is the only country left in the Med with great nature on its coasts, reasonably priced, guaranteed sunshine, friendly service, excellent facilities, great food, interesting culture, the best ancient archeological sites, amazing markets, very hygienic butcher shops, very clean, parks, trashcans everywhere, good nightlife, safety, the best marinas, supermarkets with too much choice, exotic places for Westerners, easygoing people who speak every language, Turkish baths and the list goes on....
About the Turkish guys....you don't have to take their flirting so seriously, just flirt with them for 5 minutes and smile. Didn't I read somewhere that flirting is very healthy for you.
http://health.yahoo.com/experts/menlovesex/75787/why-flirting-can-help-your-relationship/
So, after such a healthy holiday with such healthy food and such a healthy climate, no wonder tourists will go back home and feel refreshed and they will remember that specific feeling which will make them go back again and again and which has gone lost in other countries.
So, in one word, the success is the combination of excellent services and facilities provided to tourists with a cup of tea.
PS: When are you going to take that cap off again? I so much more prefer guys with no caps!
@Patriot Fan: Wow, is it that nice in Disney World? I gotta go then. And they even have butcher shops there...I thought there were only hamburger shops there, that's why I never went! |

turkey has been the home to many civilisations, its a mix of east and west, its not just east and its not just west,so people can come and check out this unique fusion.you dont get that in greece or other only christian nations.
you can come to turkey and get everything you can get in greece AND more for a cheaper price.
but you wanted the REAL reason right? its the turkish guys, the women cant keep away so they use the rich culture as an excuse.
thats why even all the turk haters like baris and augustus cant keep away from here, the proof is all to see! there are no greek or roman ruins on the turkish travel section, but they need thier daily contact with the people they secretly love!
LOL@ baris....qoute as much nonsense as you like,it doesnt change the fact that everything you listed is benefical to TURKEY and turks not armenians, lmao.
are you making any money of it? is it improving armenia? NO.what are you trying to say? people visit eastern turkey to see non-turkish things? and? is that it? is that some sort of victory for you? it doesnt change the fact they they are COMMING TO TURKEY to see it,and NOT armenia. |
