DISSAPPOINTED,HORRIBLE,SAD!

Edit: LAILA they don't represent the majority. Please check how many people there are in the country and how many have voted for them? And of course for which reasons!

Earthling
Disappointed and worried about the future. We'll wait and see what will happen in the presidential elections.

Chaos is awaiting us. God help us!

Totally Blunt
Here's what I think, if not what I feel. Sorry, it's Turkish and Hurriyet doesn't have the English version of this one:

http://www.hurriyet.com.tr/yazarlar/6942356.asp?yazarid=1&gid=61

And this is in English, pointing to the incompatibility of "good economic results" with the increased number of the poor, 18 million:

http://www.hurriyet.com.tr/english/6844598.asp?gid=74

The sad thing is, we were trying to protect the poors' right to earn a decent wage and AKP is distributing them food packages. We were trying to protect their children's right to a decent education and AKP is decreasing the share education gets from budget.

What can I say, politically, their way proved more successful.

Do you remember the story of 300 sheep that fell down the cliff following one sheep? Now there are more than 16 million of them.

PS. Espri benim değil, eksisozluk.com'da gördüm.

PS2. Bu kadar da dürüstümdür yani.

I feel like I'm having a nightmare, and that everything will be different tomorrow as I open my eyes. Aziz Nesin was right but he exaggerated the figures: 46.6% of the Turkish people is stupid and reckless!!!

Tanju
Dear My Friends,

I read all your comments... All of them are nice and good ...

Before Marrige, I was lived with my family in Esenler. Maybe you know something Esenler, but a little bit explain what is it like ...

Lots of people working with minumum ucret (asgari ucret)...
Lots of Terrible home, so much crowded ...
(When my friends visit us, they say, where are we ? Is this Beirut ? ...)

Anyway, Everyelection time, Politicians came (MSP and Refah partisi time ) and helping lots of family ...
Lıke Asuman said, giving money, giving food and giving coal... And of course, evertime Refah or MSP number one for the election result ...

Now, is time changed ? Lets thinking together ...

Well, you can say, yes changed now 2007 , Right ?

But, for me , I said everytime, time is relative , depends on the people ...
Important thing is thinking, mind ... Just thinking a little bit ...

Now, I came this election ...
In my opinion, This is normal result, it is not suprise for me ...
Just only checking the people and talking with them and try understanding what they say ...

Please, no one sad and dissappointing , this is Election ...

Sorry, I talked so much ...

Kind Regards for everyone

Dear Laila,
Thank you ... Regards

With all due respect to Aziz Nesin, Turkish people are not that stupid. They know what they are doing. Don't worry, there will be no coup, no chaos. Turkey will keep on moving forward despite RTE and D.Baykal and all the other narrow minded politicians. No one can change the course of history.

This was just an election like many others before.

But there's one difference. Turks are more conscious now comparing 5-10 years before. With the help of internet, tvs, papers everything they know more for sure.

I remember the previous elections. Everyone was freaked out that time as well. What happened? I haven't seen anyone forcing women to wear headscarves. Just on the contrary, students with headscarves still are not allowed to go in the campuses.

People should bear in mind, for a democratic country, 46,5% is a very big majority. And calling them "stupid" just because they don't share your ideas is very rude and disrespectful.

One more thing i want to say about elections. Since the "cumhurbaskanligi" issue, i have received hundreds of emails. They were all saying, AKP is evil, they are not majority that it is unfair for them to be there, the people vote them are either stupid or uneducated etc etc. This was the exact thing made AKP won big time. Turkish people have one big value, they are always with the oppressed one. In this case every time people attacked AKP, they grew stronger. And i bet for my 1 month salary(it is not very much :) ) if things will be the same for the next 5 years, they will grow bigger.

Only assuming they got votes with coal, wood and the votes of uneducated, is very shallow and avoiding the facts. If CHP insists avoiding them they will pay more dearly next time.

edicius
I think it's time for Turkish people to stop taking US and EU as the cunning, sneaky enemies who wishes to swallow Turkey down.

I didn't vote for AKP and I will not in the future because of their conservative structure. However I also disagree with the idea that assumes AKP as the biggest enemy of Turkey. This pessimistic, provoking psychology of fear won't get Turkey anywhere. Keep cool guys and gals. Nobody will force you to wear head-scarves or something. AKP were more crowded in the previous Parliament and I still have the same life I had 5 years ago.

Another thing is: I do not know what people really mean by "selling the country". Privatization is something which has increasingly existed in Turkey, since late 80s. It's not AKP's ideology. Open market, globalization and these kind of things encourage privatization in every country. You either have to obey the rules of the open market economy or you have to build walls to the outside world. Nobody is selling anything.

I don't really understand why so many people are saying that there will be chaos and destruction now AKP won. They won 5 years ago right? I haven't detected any chaos in Turkey the last 5 years... Aren't some of you overreacting?

Congratulations for the Turkish population of the big win of the AK party. Erdogan is the best for the progress of the country. For sure I am very happy.

Simply I am happy because it was wise from the start to set Gul as the president. Now they have more winnings than before.

although i voted for the winning party but i am not so satisfied actually..i mean the limit of %10 is too far high ...we do have a representation problem in our parlement...for example another party (democrat party) got %6 of the votes but those will not be represented in the parlement....akp got the %45 of the votes but they will get most of the parlement(%63 or sth like that), that is not fair...it reflects that we have a serious problem in our election system...i was expecting that akp would win but i am not really happy with the results...i cant say thay i am unhappy but it is not exactly what i was looking for...
