Europe. America is a culture-starved wasteland of debt, bad choices and broken dreams. |

I'd love to live in Europe part time and America part time. Europe is gorgeous, however, I would not be able to afford to make a living there. They would pay me much less than I am getting now. My family also lives in America so I want to be with them especially on holidays. |

America. You can shoot intruders. In England, you have to make them a cup of tea. |

Europe. I'm from America but I love the European culture and history (so much so that I'm moving to Spain)! |

I lived one year in the U.S, but most of my live, I've been living in quiet little Belgium. I've also lived in France for a while and travelled to many countries in Europe, and although I love America and the attitude of many Americans, I have to admit: Europe all the way!
Why?
- It is much more diverse. I mean, there is such a huge difference between a historic Spanish city and a city in the Baltic states for example. Is there such a difference between a city in Texas and one in Winsconcin. I have my doubts. My point is that you cannot really compare the U.S (one country, one language, one -dominant- culture) with Europe as a whole.
But I'll give some more points in favor of Europe:
- the culture and history
- the food and drinks (hell no drinking age on 21...)
- the quality of live in general (live of a 15 year old European kid is so much better and freer than his American equivalent)
- everything is rather short by (skiing or the atlantic coasts...)
- tight laws on weapons
- NO death penalty
- nobody hates you when you travel abroad (0:
I can go on and on, but the strange thing is that I would leave for the U.S. anytime if I got a job offered. One thing I strangly like about the U.S. is that there can be such a fuzz about little things, just to name nipple gate for example. There is always something to have a fierce debate about. Here in Europe, many people don't really care about taking stands. And yes, I miss watching baseball... |

I'm from America, but live in Europe now. After living in both, I'd definitely say I prefer Europe. The only thing I miss is my mum and good Mexican food! lol |

Full time in America would make my brain hurt...they are so noisy....but spending part of the year in each would be good. |

I live in Europe at the moment but my dream is to gain about 125 pounds in weight, stop reading books and dropping my IQ by about 50 points then moving to the good old USA!
USA! USA! Number 1! USA!!! |

Both have their merits. I would say if you are young and/or rich - America. If you are older and not very well off - then Europe |
