I like Natalia and Anya too, I don't care if they're way too common (they aren't that common outside Russia anyway) or if people misuse them...they're beautiful names. |

I like Snezhana, Olga and Vasilisa (although it sounds horrible when shortened to Vasya).
The one name that I really dislike, and ironically almost everyone here has mentioned, is Anya. There were 6 Anyas in my class - way to be original people! |

My favourate female Russian name is mine - Kseniya (or Xenia) :D
Also I find these names cute: Alexandra (Sasha), Elena (Lena), Svetlana (Sveta or Lana), Maria (Masha), - not very original, but still nice sounding.
And I do hate Nataliya (Natasha) - because some people call all the Russian girls "natashas". Thouhg I have a few really good friends named Natasha. |

I like olimpiada and ivanna, something unusual and old-fashioned. There are lots of ekaterynas, anastasiyas, kristinas, but really unique names like Varvara, praskovya, snezhana are uncommon. Also, variations on male names sound cool, like Ruslana, Romanna, Stepanida, Stanislava, Vladimira |
