Fethiye, Kalkan or Kas which is more beautiful?

Depends what you are looking for but if you want a really beautiful and chilled out spot go to Kabak. There are a couple of Dolmus from Fethiye every day - just ask at the local Otogar. There are about 5 places to stay. Mainly raised platforms with a matress and mosquito netting covering them. It attracts a very cool crowd. Lots of people playing music. People doing Yoga etc. You have to hike down to the places to stay (and hike back up to the bus when you leave) which puts most people off and keeps the numbers down. It has its own little bay. It is heaven.

Of the other three I'd choose Kas.

Just before you get to Kalkan youlle see a turn on the right for Patara its an old ancient town with dirt streets and with the exception of occ asional coca cola signs there is no hint of Southend-on-sea anywhere and a long private road out to a 6 mile long almost empty beach...pickup your bucket and spade from Jimmy's of Patara and thats beautiful...

Kas was beautiful twenty or so years ago but has been built up in an unsympathetic way. Kalkan is pretty but I find it claustrophobic because it's so steep and narrow. My vote goes to Fethiye. I love the bay, the islands and the mountains. It retains its Turkish character although it is very popular with tourists.

How about Kekova (Kale Koy - after the daily boats leave that's heavenly!)?

Kas is small & more traditional.I've just been to the Turquoise coast & it is gorgeous.Stayed in Olu Denis & these other places could be visited from there,
Enjoy!

I'm not sure how you'd pronounce Fethiye, but I like it better than Kas. Kalkan might be okay.

I've visited all 3 places and i would say Fethiye is best for natural beauty,, the caves there are deff worth a visit!!!

Kas has a lot of designer shops(lacoste bennetton etc.) which makes it expensive...Fethiye is cheaper, and has a very relaxed atmosphere.
All these places are infinetely better than bodrum and marmaris which
are tourist rip offs.

I prefer Fethiye, particularly the harbour area. The council has made a great job of tidying it up and laying good paving and the little sheltered seats are lovely. As a town it has a good range of sgops but still retains its charm. And Aminta's Tomb (Lycian) and the St John's Citadel overlooking the town are fantastic. Kas has been been built up rather unsympathetically and I think Kalkan really just has a harbour. Fethiye is also very close to Olu Deniz and Calis and Olu Deniz is absolutely perfect, especially the lagoon.
