For Turks ! Why questions/statements get answers that vary from rude-> abusive->insulting to aggressive.

Dear friends, asker and answerers.
You are probably both right, there is no reason to fight. I just wanted to make a few points.
1. It is possible that the question mentioned was meant to provoke. However, it may have been an honest question - even if we know that it wasn't, we should answer as if it was. As Eylul said, Turkey is a touristic country, with a secular regime. The person who asked obviously knew that the local customs were a bit strict, but also knew that it is not Iran or sth., so the question was legit.
2. It is true that many tourists go to Turkey and they have a good time. I have been there myself. It is not true, however, that they spend no money or buy nothing! People buy a lot of things there and do spend money, in museums, restaurants, etc. I know I did, and other Greek friends did too.
3. To the first answerer: you say that everyone can say whatever he wants on here. This is only partially true, because there are rules. Anyway, I do believe in the freedom of speech. But then, you tell the questioner "don't you dare talk about the Turks"!! Isn't this a bit contradictory? Not very democratic, it even sounds liek a threat.
4. As for grey wolfs, this is an extremist nationalist group in Turkey. It causes many problems to democratic persons, even Turks, or even very peaceful persons, like the Patriarch. Dear Turkish friends, please don't justify these people. I know you are not all like them, they are a minority, but it is up to you to make them outcasts, because democracy and them doesn't go together.

Normally a person who plans to go for holidays must make a research on local customs.Obvious she didn't .I don't think that is a reason to attack her and be rude with her.As you said above we are all individuals and we can write whatever we want.So why you should be rude with her or with anyone make a question ?After all if anyone is rude with someone gives the right to other people be rude with you.Never ending story.

In Turkey i have seen topless to tell you the truth, but foreigners, i dont think that it is a problem there in the touristic places..Dont forget that the users of both sections we got used to provocations, so, it is possible to be done for provocation...
Concerning the behaviour of some users, this is their way to reply...Others are kind, others more rude, we have democracy, who reads the answer can juge.
Please calm down, because we will be again accused that we are doing sabotage to thei tourism of Turkey

I remember the questionS, and I answered one of them. The annoying thing for people that she has asked the question 4 times in Turkiye section and couple of times in Greece too.
Posting the same question more than one in 2 days annoys people. That's clear. Nothing to get offended.
It is also possible tp get this information from the travel agent that she has booked from. Posting the same question many times made people mad.

If you had checked better you could see that person typed the same question 3 or 4 times and with other names again and again.

I can assure you that was not a decent lady looking for some peacefull place to sunbath/swim topless.

I don't know about the incident with this specific question,
but I have to say that,as I was told by friends who visited Turkey,
the treatment there is like you are a king,and especially if you tell them you are Greek ("Yunan"),they treat you even better,like
a "kardash" (brother)...

Firstly,this is not about Islamic customs since Turkey is a secular country.
Secondly,I agree with all said she had asked the question more than one which seemed a little provocative as there are always proactive questions here.Thirdly,I have to admit that sometimes some users could be rude but you cannot generalize all the Turkish users.Last but not least,if you think because of a few answers given here Turkey will lose its attraction,you are wrong.
Furthermore,if you refer to the Armenian questions which you agree and something has never happened,there is not a bit reality in it.

some questions have hiddesn messages behind
you as a foreigner might not get it, but some refer to political issues which id an interior problem of TÃ¼rkiye such as head scarves

i answered the question as yes you can go to beached topless because TÃ¼rkiye is a touristic country.
and the questioner asked the same question about 7 times. did you notice that. the question was also asked in europe continential part and i answeed the same question there as well.

we are not begging for you to come to TÃ¼rkiye
if you don't like, then go to Ibiza, sorry but true

tourists come to TÃ¼rkiye, pay 350 euros, they stay in 5 star hotels, they get the perfect service that the Turkish citizens will never ever get, they don't do any shopping, they don't spend any money, they don't visit any cultural or historical place!!

sorry but this is just massive tourism and we don't really need that!
