To be honest I'm not for military regimes, but I must admit that there are many myths about that period. For example young people have been told that nobody was allowed to stay out after 22.00 p.m. but I can assure you that as a teenager I used to go out with my friends and spend the whole night in the Discoes with no prohibition and at the same time I felt safe.... No crime, no drugs, no danger... And another point: All the persons involved in the coup died with no penny in their pocket, while our nowdays politicians become rich overnight.... |

Not born but was brought up (and fed up) with either side propaganda.
late 60's the economy was good because the Marshall plan of the 50's help boost the ecomnomy.and 20 yers later was producing results.
Also the guys died pennyless but financed Nixon;s and Spyros Agnew campaign
. Lead a good life in the period but did not built luxurious houses like modern polticians do.
Dont forget the Cuprus events 6 years later!!!!

I wasnt born, but from what my fathers tell me it was not such a bad period as they describe it..The government of that time gave money to people to buy houses, built airports, and at least in Greece there was security...And....democratically.... I say that THE QUESTION IS JUST FOR GREEKS.... |
