The situation would not be similar in any way. Russia stepped in AFTER Georgia moved its troops into South Ossetia, which has been de facto independent for over a decade. If China decides to take Vladivostok (notice spelling), that would be an unjustified land grab and options for retaliation would include nuclear weapons. Clear? |
