You have to consider that there are different kinds of russian men.
Those who are self-confident, smart and successful usually are no much different in their attitude as the same kind of american man.

The type of men who are saying that american women aren't good enough because they are mean or aggressive or lazy are you usually the men who can't offer anything themselvs- a typical pathetic
looses who are trying to hide their insecurity and inability to handle
strong self-confident women behind the statement that women aren't good enough for them.
There is also very popular mainstream stereotype in Russia that american women aren't pretty enough, but that is so not true.

I have a few friends in russia from when i spent time over there. They typically viewed women no different than males in america. Although my friends over there are a lot more respectful than most men over here. You dont find them being so vulgar, but they dont seem to be much different.

they're just the same as everyone else.. some are good.. some not so good. just with other females- such as those from foreign countries.. you cant understand what they're saying so it doesn't matter what comes out of their mouths.

It's more of how do they feel about women period. Russian men are generally playboys and as long as you understand that you will share him (whether unknown or knowingly) you should be fine.
