Yes, so when you are living in that "tail" area, you are in Europe. Ask FedEx, the postal system and Encyclopedia Britanica that reads: Turkey - western Asia and southeastern Europe.

Sabato mio -To simplify it for you again. Ex: You are standing at the border between Mexico & the US- United States of America and you can assume it is Turkey/Asia Minor & Turkey/Europe..

Legend: 0- one foot ; 00 two feet together ; II Border.

Ok, If you put two feet on one side say US where would you be?

II 00 -> US (American on US soil)

and the opposite applies to standing with both feet on the opposite side - Mexico

(American on Mexican soil) Mexico <- 00 II.

Now, You are straddling (both feet planted on each side of the border) between the borders of Mexico and the US

Mexico <- 0 II 0 -> US (American in both countries)

Where you you be? Both in Mexico and the USA. That is being In two places at the same time.

The cow's tail you meant in an earlier question doesn't hold water because you look at where the tail is planted on, or where the cow is ok? As with Turkey's (with a capital 'T') tail, it is firmly planted geographically on the European continent.

If you still can't get it about the tail, I think you have a primary school teacher you know right?

By the way, it doesn't make you AMERICAN or MEXICAN unfortunately but still Armenian. I have dual citizenship so I hold TWO passports so I am both American and Filipino. I can choose (between the two only ha)who I want to be when I go to both borders.

Qu'est ce que tu pense?
Yes, part of Turkey lies in Europe:

If you look at the picture, there's a river which is right on the city which is called, "Istanbul." That river is the Bosphorus and is the dividing line between Europe and Asia. The Northwest side is European and the Southeast side is Asian.

Dear Scalet,

Would you please read it, you will see it ;

Turkey is a paradise of sun, sea, mountains, and lakes that offers the vacationer a complete change from the stress and routine of everyday life. From April to October, most places in Turkey have an ideal climate that is perfect for relaxing on sandy beaches or enjoying the tranquility of mountains and lakes. Turkey also has a magnificent past, and is a land full of historic treasures from 13 successive civilizations spanning 10,000 years.

Even if you spend only a short time in Turkey, you can see a lot of this great heritage. There is no doubt that one visit will not be enough, and you will want to come back again and again as you discover one extraordinary place after another. All of them, no matter how different, have one thing in common: the friendly and hospitable people of this unique country.

Turkey is a rapidly modernising country with
one foot in Europe and one in the Middle East. It's not all oriental splendour, mystery, intrigue and whirling dervishes but it is a spicy maelstrom of history knocking up against a pacy present.

The Turkish people have an unrivalled reputation for hospitality, the cuisine is to die for, the coastline is a dream, and many Turkish cities are dotted with spectacular mosques and castles. And while costs are rising, Turkey remains the Mediterranean's bargain-basement destination.

There's an enormous variety of things to see and do ranging from water sports to mountain trekking, archaeology to night-clubbing and river rafting to raki drinking. Whether you leave Turkey with magnificent carpets, amulets to ward off evil, belly-dancing tips, an appreciation of its history, or just a tan, you're likely to want to go back for more.

Are you asking geographically or politically? All of Turkey is in Europe. Turkey is a member of EUFA, EC, a candidate of EU and member of many other European institutions.
What are the geographical borders of Europe anyway? If Cyprus (southern part at least) can become a EU member then Turkey is within Europe. More than half of Turkey lies west of Cyprus geographically.
