The reasons of this conflict are to be rendered to the U.S.A. and their leadership which attempt in every possible way to struggle Russia by expanding and establishing their NATO alliances and their friendly and faithful puppet leaders (like Saakasvili) in the vicinity of Russia, causing (for the moment) trouble to it, like the South Ossetia issue, and simultaneously accepting on their soil the establishment of U.S.A. missiles targeting Russia.
Georgia, especially under the present regime and government is an instrument for this purpose.
Georgia had the perfect backing by Bush and Co when it first bombed Ossetia, using U.S.A. ammunition and having already invented some "reasons", and at the same time has all the western media on its side, distorting the truth and painting a devil's image for Russia and a martyr's one for Georgia.
Therefore Georgia massacred South Ossetians, provoking thus Russia to intervene to protect them, and open the way for U.S.A. to put their foot there.
The U.S.A. invade other countries for less serious reasons, and they stay there, like in Iraq, while Russia already withdrew its troops from Georgia.
And let's not forget the U.S.A. imperialistic past: The war of Vietnam, the invasion and occupation of Iraq, the creation and support of cruel dictatorships in South - Latin America, the division of Cyprus, and so on, not to mention the most horrible concentration camp in history, Guantanamo.
And it sounds so ironical listening to Bush preaching about "Democracy", "Freedom", "Peace" and "Justice"....

Russia did not invade but came to defend its citizens.
Georgia, the American puppet, started the conflict by bombing and killing the innocent people in the middle of the night!
You'd better search for some independent sources of information and not the ones you are fed in the USA (they are way one sided and so far from being true!) |

Georgia had begun bombing S. Ossetia, supposedly there were up to 2000 casualties if you believe the Russians.
S. Ossetia was already semi-autonomous, this conflict's been going on for a while. It seems that Georgia was most likely attempting to "test" it's new western allies. The regions in question were, historically, part of Russia pre-Soviet days.

Because the Georgian army invaded South Osetia without any provocation (though the regime in Tbilisi claim there was some kind of provocation, whatever), massacred around 2000 civilians and killing 10 Russian peacekeepers in the process. Any state who fails to respond to this, would be irresponsible, and every state should protect its peacekeepers and save its allies from genocide. So in short, Russia did the right and logical thing. |

Americans love cartoons with black versus white or winner against looser - Russians love chess playing - everybody plays everywhere -
What happened in Georgia has been partly resolved with the help of the EU and in conditions which could give pedagogical examples to America -
Strangely : if Georgia had been a failure for Russia, it would be an unbearable loud cry of victory in the western media - I think Russia won in many regards - and what happened in Georgia and how it was resolved shows us that things have dramatically changed in few years -
Very nextly US diplomacy will have to change its doctrines and methods.

nini s you said that you know us =) lol, silly little yankee - girl, you know nothing about Russian people and Russian - Georgian conflict, so how can you speculate about that war. I hope that the people rescued by Russian soldiers will be grateful for their rescue and will remember it on long because Russia had to much to offer for the sake of them. |

cos they wants to regin the power over the worlld and not to loose tje control over the Caucasus. Its obvious that Russia isnt that powerful and want to regain the powe it had in the Soviet Era.
after the ruin of Soviet Union Georgia had 2 conflict zones, coz Russia has been backing them for years, Now as russia wants to get the Soviet countries back, GEorgia was good country enough to start with, as it has 2 conflict zones that were cntrolled by Russians,,
Ossetians dared to fire against Georgian villages coz Russia provided them with evetyrhing and wanted to provoke Georgia to startt he war |

Russia started war, trust me, i know them, for Georgia war would be terrible, and they wouldn't start it, so if you think that Georgia started the war, think again, cuz it's biggest mistake, Russian TV is making propaganda, and tell everyone that Georgia started war, why would Georgia do it on it's own territory? common, people don't be such silly |

so "russia "went into "Georgia" to defend "its citizens"(if they live in Gerogia they are not russian citizens, and its georgia's responsiblitity)? Think you need to check your sources.
Russia invaded Gerogia because georgia put troops in a part of Georgia where there are alot of russians.
So basicaly russia is telling gergia what to do in its own country!! |
