Hi! Bulgaria is a member of the EU, so I believe you will not have any problem. But you can check with the Bulgarian embassy where you live. There is a list of all Bulgarian Embassies, Consulates and Missions abroad in the official website of Bulgaria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs: http://www.mfa.government.bg/

Have a good holiday in Bulgaria!

P.S. Please also check my new website: http://www.directionbulgaria.com/

most countries require 6 months on a passport, so check with the embassy before you get stopped at the point of entry. A.

I'm assuming you are from the UK. If Bulgaria are in the EU then you will be fine as there will be no minimum term. If Bulgaria are not in the EU then I don't know. You are better off speaking to the Bulgrian embassy fo a definitieve answer. The UK Foreign Office http://www.fco.gov.uk/servlet/Front?pagename=OpenMarket/Xcelerate/ShowPage&c=Page&cid=1007029396086 will contact details of embassies in the UK.

tonyinspain
your ok upto the date of expire but dont stay longer you would not want to be in a bulgarian jail!!!

i would assume as long as your date to come home is not after the date your passport runs out

Tea C
Your passport has to be valid at least until l4 days after your return. You should be OK. Better renew it soon though.

MellowMan
Yes, upto the date it run out.

Shanks
I think it needs either 6months or 6weeks left on it so I think you might av a problem.

amtusS
if a visa is require to go there then usual condition to apply for a visa is to have a valid passport for at least 6 months, therefore I think you have to renew your passport, but if you can visit without a visa then I think it is possible u can use your passport as it is, but best to check with their embassy.
