Where would you suggest a middle aged couple can go in Greece. Not too quiet and not too lively. |

myself and my wife are middle aged so hopefully we can help.
the best suggestion i can give you is Stalis in Crete.
it is not too quiet and not too busy and basically is one long road with bars etc off.
there is enough to do in the evenings and plenty of places to drink and eat without being mad. there are all kinds of accommodation too from simple self catering to nice hotels and the beach is nice too.
lassi in kefalonia is another nice place but to be honest is really quiet and even though is the most beautiful island there isn't much to do especially in the evenings.
if you don't fancy either of those i would consider Cyprus which is lovely . we stayed in protaras which has a great beach and again enough to do without being mad in the evenings..
most of they major tour operators go to all of these places and if you think i can help please email me.
wherever you go have a great time. |

i would suggest zakynthos it is beautiful there. you can explore the endangered logger head turtles here to which is great fun and there is lovely restaurants its not too quiet but not over the top and rowdy. i would suggest argassi if you want to sight see. |

I went to Santorini, absolutely amazing island. Apart from the stunning scenery there is lots of history and sightseeing. Visit the ancient capital in the north, clinging to the cliff-side the little white houses and shops are amazing to see. The main resorts are in the south of the island with black beaches. travelling around by local bus is very easy and very cheap. go b&b because there are so many lovely little tavernas to eat it would be a shame to miss out. Can truly recommend. enjoy |

Santorini and Crete are absolutely gorgeous! I would NOT recommend Athens to stay at, too city-like. |

Stephenia Apartments, run by Maria and George, In Stalis, in Crete. Lovely place to stay, Best beach on the Island, a stones throw from these apartments, Beautiful streets, romantic atmosphere, clients mostly honeymooners and mature couples. Great restaurants and bars, nothing over powering. |
