This is so difficult being a lover of both -:

Geece Pro's
-Parts can be quaint and pretty
-You get into that relaxed "no problem" lifestyle which is great for a holiday
-Its primitive and simple in parts

Con's
-You have to put your loo paper in a basket, not flush which you may dislike
-Food can be quite basic and not as cosmopolitan as turkey

Turkey
Pro's

-Its CHEAP, you can do boat trips for £7 and white water rafting for £25
-Shopping is excellent
-beautiful massive mountains and scenery
-Food is abit more varied
-Dolmus bus's great and cheap

Con's
-Can get hassled by sales people
-Accommodation can be basic - but clean
-I'm struggling!!!

At the end of the day, they are both really great places to visit. I reccomend Hissonrou/olu Deniz for Turkey

Its Greece for me. I went there a long time ago and had a good time, try to keep away from big cities as they are crap like any big city but it is a great place to move around, lots to see.

With no intention to seem biased, (I have had very nice excursions in Turkey), I will say that in a few words Turkey is cheaper, Greece is nicer (beaches, buildings, amenities, transport). However, Turkish food is the best in the world, Greek food comes a little after that.

I'm bias. I say greece every time it is nice and hot, very pretty and very friendly people.

i personaly prefer greece!

i think the people are firendlier and in turkey alot of there man are very 'pervy' and touch you and try to kiss you as your just walking along, even tho in greece they do whistle at you thats near enough where it ends!

Greece. And if you up for it, you should try island hopping in the Aegean!

The downside of Turkey is that they pester you and hassle you to try and make you buy things. The Greeks are very laid-back and leave you alone to make your mind up.
Turkey's quite a bit cheaper though, for eating out and so on.

Greece:
More historical sites
Hundreds of islands
more safe country
Great food
friendly people
more people who speak english

Turkey:
better shopping
cheaper
Great food as well, and probably better than Greece, depends on your taste
for summer is just a part of Turkey nice for vacation
friendly people
ethnic/folkore markets
-
Greece:
if you are British,in islands like,Crete,Rhodes or Zante people dont have the best opinion, because of the drunkers British
Really-really hot and with high humid level at the moment
Expensive for many people
Turkey:
For summer, worth visiting only the west part of Turkey(not lots of deferent places)
You need visa if you are a EU citizen

I wont say to you which country to choose because I wont be fair,I just said you my own opinion for Greece and Turkey and you'll judge ....

Enjoy your holidays wherever you go.

Even though Greece has a higher standard (better infrastructure, accommodation, transport etc.), I have to say that Turks have been much more friendly, at least to me.

EDIT: Let's see how many thumbs down I will get for saying that Turks are friendlier to me than Greeks.
