PrawnBride, in Turkish we say "mümkünse bi sittir git". English translation is: "No, you are wrong"

Elaine
Most of us have purple skin, green hair and red eyes.

asimenia
NO they are not! Complete different features and skin tone - and lighter brown hair and texture and they are NOT naturally blonde! Jeez will Greeks stop saying they are blond - there's probably 3% (fair complextions - yes) - I can upload my kids class school photos - the only blondes are Albanian and a VERY few Greeks!

Think with your dipstick!
No they aren't. There are many Greeks who are naturally blonde and have fair complexions.

Mατθαιος
Some are some aren't... some blonde's some brunets some dark some not.... and as for Greeks being like Indians. Indians are more like Greeks than Greeks are like Indians. Alexander the Great of Greek Macedonia conquered northern India and left an ancient Greek genetic trail there.
google it.

cpinatsi
Not really. Some may look a bit similar in color, epsecially with most fair Indians, but facial features are different. And a fair number of Greeks are like me (look at my avatar).

No, not really. You wouldn't see Greeks that are that dark. And even if they are really dark, it's usually in the summer time from the sun.
Greeks can go from really light skin with blonde hair and blue eyes, to really dark with black hair. But when I say really dark, not as dark as Indins. You can tell the difference too by their gums. Indian people have dark gums as well as skin. Greek people do not.

Asimenia, you 're right. It's a small percentage of blonde greeks, but they do exist. My brother was born with nearly white hair and blue eyes. And there are many blonde blue eyed people in my family. It also depends on which part of Greece you live in. Northern Greece has more blond blue eyed people. My best friend is whiter than some sweedish people. And her hair is naturally blonde.
I was born blonde, but my hair now is (not naturally blue.lol) light brown.

YES and the Koreans have wider eyes than the French, the Blacks are more blonde than Sweds and Asians are taller than Scandinavians.

No. Personally, I can distinguish an indian from a greek quite easily. Different skin color, different facial and physical characteristics. There are blond and fair-skinned Greeks but they are much rarer than the German or the Swedish ones. The skin of the Greeks is usually not dark but during the summer they get tanned because of their constant exposure to sun.
P.S: Asimenia, I'm sorry to inform you but some of us have been at least baby-blond and have fair skin and light-colored eyes. Personally I was baby-blond (my hair has darkened since then) and have blue-green eyes and medium skin. Also I have many relatives (father, sister, grandfathers, aunts, cousins, nephews) with similar characteristics and even fairer skin, although we're all greeks.
And Halley, you're not right. My familly is totally from southern Greece.

Thalassaki
Some greeks have an olive compltetion

Greek people are nothing like Indians. Greeks have olive tanned skin and can only be compared to Greeks.

Like most Latins the Greek delude themselves & claim blondness, I've seen many Greeks I mistook for Indian, & even some I mistook for Mulattoes.

In the South of Greece I've seen many who are surprisingly dark, although there are some light Greeks, but many dye their hair blond to conform to a Western & European ideal.

Some Indians are very light, they are not all as dark as some Greeks, just get over yourselves & your insecurity about how dark your skin is for heavens sake.

Baring in mind there are many half Black half white kids who are blond & blue/green eyed, Greeks with blue/green eyes is no surprise.

Greeks are dark & many are mistaken for Arabs & Indians, get a grip.

Trotsky vs Kerensky- НекIо!
You're probably trolling but here it goes. No, they look nothing like the Indians yet they are dark compared to the rest of Europe. I mean there aren't many blond Greeks but come on they aren't THAT dark. I have seen a Greek Cypriot teacher whom I confused for an Indian though but she probably was an exception.

I've heard Greeks are compared with Arabs, Turks...but Indians!?
