Yes i went to Kos last year with my girlfriend and both of us had great time. The weather is great, the food was great and the locals were extremely friendly.Much better bet than Spain. The island is known locally as the island of bikes as its so flat and you can rent bikes out easily in many loactions for as little as 2 euro a day depending on what bike you want.

There is plenty to do as well. The three island cruise was the best though. The boat we wenton was great and the stops fantastic. The trip costs 20 euro per adult and included food in a resaurant on one of the islands. We liked it so much we went back the next day and stayed an overnight stop on the island of Pseryimos. We had lunch dinner and breakfast plus a great room overlooking the bay for 60 euro all in plus some alcohol as well.the sound of waves lapping the beach waking us up was great.Highly recommend it and then we just caught the same boat and contiued on to the next islands to get back to Kos.

turkey is an easy day trip.there are fast ferries that take about 30mins.Tip do not go on thier free tours as they are scam to take you to their shops and the turks can be a bit overbearing trying to sell crap.they tried to sell leather coats in 40 degree heat???

All in all kos is a great spot and you will not be disspointed.Enjoy

Whatever my friend Nicky said, it is on my area, the second island of Dodecanese, and an island among the most importants for one reason(not only for its beauty)
THE ISLAND OF HIPPOCRATES, THE FATHER OF MEDECINE...
NO DOCTOR TAKES PERMISSION WITHOUT THE HIPPOCRATIC OATH......

I live there!! It's a lovely island, quite small but there is so much to see and do. There are many different resorts to suit everyone. We have party resorts, family resorts and quieter resorts. The beaches are beautiful and the weather at the moment is perfect.

There are a lot of tourists in peak season, but May, June and September are lovely, not too many not too few.

If you need any information feel free to email me, I know a lot of the hotels so can give you an honest opinion!!!

Great palce though I preferred Corfu. However if you have children KOS is probably better. You will have a great ime. People fine and the fire flies are amazing...take a good camera to capture them on film at night.

Tons of tourists, not the most quiet place.

Fokas
it's a very beautiful island. I am greek, and my family lives in kos, Greece, and i visit so often. This summer i actually will be visiting them again! Hope you enjoy! A lot of tourists though, which i don't always like for going back home to my family!

Yes I have been many times, staying in Kardamena and had wonderful holidays. Late September early October are lovely for folk who want a quieter time, but everything is very lively in
June to early September.

There is Kos town to explore with its castle and boat trips to Turkey if you want. Beautiful beaches everywhere, Kardamena, Tingaki and Kefalos.

Enjoy yourself.

for a free shower head to the marina, its about 500m east of the town, showers are free for boat crew and as they have no way of knowing they are free for all, they are the most luxurious public showers i have evr seen and are well worth a visit to Kos just to see them!
obviosly this only applies if you are backpacking and in need of a cheap clean shower, i'm sure all the expensive hotels have their own showers!!

i'm dead serious though check out the showers in Kos marina

het nickynakoo.. have you ever been to the marina in kos, good showeres or what??
