I am from Belarus, but I have been to Russia hundredth of times as we have relatives and friends there. If you like museums, history and appreciate the beauty of architecture, you should go to St.Petersburg.
It is very beautiful there.

I've been to various parts of Russia and it's good and bad like other countries.
I wouldn't take a child that young there. Things are very diffeent and you can easily get in situations where nobody understands you.

I would hold off going there with your daughter until she is at least 10 years old? Where would you go with 10 month old? I don't think she will appreciate the scenery yet. Otherwise there tons to see. St Petersburg, Moscow for great architecture, history, museums, art, and countless other places. I would suggest narrowing your interests and going from there.

I lived there for 5 years (ukraine) and have visited russia alot but you should probobly have a dictionary with u :))))

You should hold off taking your daughter until she's 12. She's too young to appreciate or understand where she is. Russia is not the most family-friendly of places and is definitely not a place to carry around a 10 month old, especially since it doesn't appear you know the language. Russia city life is a series of long waits in line, long waits at restaurants (which definitely do not have kiddie menus), crowded metro rides, and wild taxi drivers. If you're going to go, go alone or with another adult.

I have been to Moscow and in parts of Siberia multiple times. I would not recommend taking a child that young. Getting around can be difficult, especially if you cannot read or speak Russian. Siberia is the most beautiful place I have ever been and Lake Baikal is an absolute must-see. My daughter went when she was 11 and then again at 13. She really appreciated the scenery and the culture. I am not sure a child much younger than that would really appreciate it. Good luck.

I'm sure lots of people have been there.
Personally, I haven't.
The language there will confuse the whatever out of you.
