i go to hungary every year since i am 50% hungarian and yes it is a beautiful country! the danube river, the matra forest, the castle ruins, the scenic winerys, the awesome food, the many shops in budapest, the old churches, the very friendly hungarians, the lake balaton...i could go on 4ever you must go at least once to see it all! im going there in august for the whole month! i love hungary! if you go you have to see the parlament also! i hope this helped your decision

I had the privilege of traveling through Budapest last year, and I absolutely adored it! Despite my only knowing how to say "please" and "thank you" in Hungarian, the people in Budapest were very kind to me. I loved exploring both Buda and Pest, seeing St. Stephen's, going to Buda Castle and learning all about the history of the Magyars. I hope to return and explore more of your beautiful country soon!

I'm from Serbia and I don't really like Hungary because it's so damn FLAT! :) I do like Budapest, however. And Balaton lake is also nice to see from the train :)

Yes I have been to Hungary, twice for a year each time. In general I like the country although the culture is very different from that of the USA.

I've been to Budapest, Lake Balaton, Estergom and Eger. I toured by train. I have a friend from Hungary, he lived near the Austrian border. He deserted from the Army in 1956, and lives near London with his English wife. There was another Magyar from Eger, but he died some years ago. I sometimes watch hungarian TV on satellite, and video-tape programmes for my friend(Laszlo).

I have been to Hungary many times, let me tell you that I travelled through Europe , and Budapest is still my favourite city of all. Also, the Tokaj/Eger area is a must for vistors.Hajduszoboszlo, a little expensive, but very relaxing place, as well as Balaton.

I went to H and loved it great food (although several people tried to overcharge me as a tourist - it was common -and the people are woonderful. Too many street beggars though, very aggressive.

yes i have, the countrys ol rite, the language--is crap! and in Budapest-ppl can be so unfriendly! but that language, somebody needs to work on it--egan?
