yes ive seen lots, film is the same roughly everywhere, every nation tries to show of in its movies. but there are great russian movies to, i suggest "Π±ΡΠ°Ρ'" AND "ΠΡΠ°Ρ 2" meaning Brother and Brother 2. great movies with messages of honour, revenge and greed. Directed and stars Sergei Bodrov. a great man, great director/actor. In his later years tho this poor guy came out to be somewhat of a antisemite and the "Russian" society stopped liking him as much. either way, great two films, find them and watch them. Also kind of good but not for everyone is Night Watch, Day watch. fantasy/horror movies, pretty cool i might add, russian cinema has become more and more modernised of the past few years. |

Yes - my husband watches them. The ones I watched with him were different than US movies - some were older and kind of like our 50's movies - like Gidget, etc.
One was a weird sci-fi movie that seemed interesting, but I couldn't understand much and he got tired of explaining the cultural references. Most I liked. |

Not a lot of them, but I've liked the ones I've seen. I saw Prisoner of the Mountains in a theater in Denver that specializes in foreign films several years ago and liked it a lot - so much that I went back a couple of times and took friends to see it. The Italian was also quite good. Another one I like is The Irony of Fate. |

I watched hundreds of very nice Russian movies - I am from Russia originally - equally funny, smart and entertaining with a lot of Holliwood movies I saw (and like) |

yes, I saw the movie "The Italian". I hope you're not confused by the Title, but it is a Russian movie. It was about a Russian orphanage and this kid didn't want to be adopted by the Italians because he thought his birth mother would come look for him. cute movie! |
