No, I have not seen any in the United States at all. Years ago I did request Tourism Posters from the Turkish Embassy here in the States and they were very responsive and sent me several posters. |

No, strangely enough there isn't one I've seen, not even on the BBC or on CNN for our region. I've seen Azerbaijan and Armenia's though.
Edit: I've seen one now and it is wonderful for historical buffs like me. I love those sarays and the architecture. It's like a blend of Italy and Greece. I never knew those places existed since I was merely confined to the museums in Ankara and Istanbul during a brief stay there. I will definitely make it a point to visit all of those places again. I hope I find the right personal tour guide though, tours are often very short and incomplete. |

Yes there is quite a good advertising campaign featuring a lady (almost like a mermaid) f;ying through the skies all over Turkey. It's a nice advert and really shows the diversity of Turkey and the many things that there are to do and see. But It's only been advertised for about the past 3-4 years and most English have been going to Turkey for longer than that. I've been goin there for 12 years, I love it! Here is the link

yes, i live in milano/italy, and it's very often especially in summer time that the billboards are full of turkey tourism ads... Up until a month ago, all tram stations in Milano carried Turkey ads. Again in mid-summer, in the very center of Milano, just behind the Duomo, one face of a whole building was covered by a turkey tourism commercial. Very beatiful and successfull commercials...
plus, i see turkish airlines ads on cnbc all the time, which is one of the best airline commercials on tv i believe... i consider a turkish airlines ad a type of turkey advertising as well...
good job... whichever agency is preparing these ads, it's a successful one... |

I am sorry but i hate most of them.
They are not creative at all.
And i hate the fact that they try to show Turkey like a cheap country. Stay in Four Seasons, Hillside Su,Mavi eat in 360 you'll see if it is cheap or not! I really think that quality of tourists will change if they change the ads.
It is a magnificent country and so much more beautiful than it is shown. |

In The Netherlands these commercials have been on TV a lot:

and this one

I really like the first add; athmosphere, music, originality. Maybe it doesn't reflect reality completely, but hey, it's a commercial.
Turkey is one of the favourite holiday destinations for Dutch people nowadays. |

I have seen one or two recently. It took me by surprise because I never really considered Turkey a vacation destination. The ads make it look like a beautiful country! |

I did. Several times in CNN and various channels on the Dutch and German television.
The spot shown in CNN (made by Turks) is really great and the music is very pleasant to hear too. A minor thing is that they show too many Greek and Roman ancient monuments and then you think its Greece or South Italy. Not Turkey.
However, those spots (made by Germans or Dutch) shown in the Netherlands or Germany are horrible. In short they all say one thing: "come. all inclusive. it is so cheap". And that is not how you want your country to be shown. |
