Absolutely!

I would love to for a year or so and learn Italian. An Ilaria I know from Milan promised me to show al the cool places. And I also have a group of Italian friends from the South - Napoli etc...

Italian food is the best (along with Japanese) and love the fashion, the weather and of course the Italians. Gorgeous, passionate people. Yeah... I could do it! ;-)

Well given the opportunity I wouldnt say no! I visited Catolica once, near Rimini. I have to say itwas wonderful. The ice cream in Italy is the best in the world. So is the rest of the food. I found the people to be perfect.
One day it rained and we got back to the hotel wet, the owners wife rushed to me and my sister with a towel to dry our hair, and escort us to the lift so we wouldnt slip. It was so lovely.
Each night I ordered wine in the restaurant and never thought they kept the remainders, on the last night they presented me with 7 half drank bottles from the week, a mix of red and white. Well I finished them all off! But the Chianti and Frascati are legendary!

Depends which part of Italy.North of Italy is more european while south is very erm... south, people are hot-blooded.If u are a blond girl then u won't have a chance to go to cornershop without getting noticed and leered at.It can be fun at first few days but then u will feel like u don't even want to go out. There are some people who are quite weird about foreigners, and they express it as well...
And they don't speak much english.Things move slow...if u want to get something done,it takes double time.Arrgh!

But they do have fantastic food, u'll never be alone, there's always something to do,everybody wants to talk to u.The countryside in whichever part of Italy is so beautiful.Worth of visit, but living there....no thanks.Too much attention.

Mystery
i love to visit but no to living there. too expensive and the men are too forward for me! its not a good place to be if you stand out in a crowd!

Citizen of EU
No thanks.

I live just across the border, been there many times and I just don't like them. They're noisy, arrogant, ignorant and much more. Of course there are some very nice people, but the nation as a whole is very ignorant.

Besides it's too crowdy, too many tourists and the nature could not be more spoiled as it is.
