You should definately use local currency, which is zloty. Certain businesses, restaurants, hotels, stores, etc. give two prices, euro and zloty. They will let you pay in Euro, but the thing is you lose some money and using zloty is cheaper. The businesses will use the highest value of the euro when equalling it to the price of zloty. This way, it might be couple or so zloty more, but there is a difference and it does add up if you keep using euro. Definately use zloty, and it is accepted everywhere, where euro isn't Have fun and hope this helps. |

The best bet is to draw cash (zlotys, naturally) from local ATMs and pay with the card anywhere you can. All respectable hotels and restaurants (and most disrespectable ones) have card terminals. And if you insist that you need a pocketful of exchanged cash, choose one of the exchanges (called "kantor") rather than a bank. But with the kind of money you might spend on a city break, the rates do not make much difference. |

Still Zloty as everyone above say. You might want to exchange some thick banknotes for some coins at the bank, once you get your currency exchanged. Many shops seem not to realise that they're supposed to provide change and not their customers. To avoid such problems just use your credit card as most of well known brands are widely accepted and seldom you encounter a lack of terminal. I would also suggest that you get your Zloty's at a bank because they tend to offer slightly better rates than private exchange business.
The only country from former communist bloc that has already introduced Euro is Slovenia (2007).
There is current exchange rate table at the source link provided by the second largest bank in Poland. |

Still use Zloty there. I imagine that if you take Euros you'll be stung again for another currency conversion |

They use Zloty. |

Poland is a quite new member of the European Union so they still use their own currency zloty, NOT euro yet. |

Poland will be a very very cheap trip for you compared with the western european countries and the euro. |
