Corfu it doesnt get any better than that. Google Kassiopi Corfu...wonderful place and so clean. And you will not find loads of children either. Just a lot of friendly locals. |

Parga - not an island but you feel like it is - there's 25km of unspoilt beach between Parga and my home town of Preveza - Epirus is the 'real' Greek experience!
Hire a car and you'll be amazed at the many places .... and how different they are! Lefkas (Lefkada ) is only about 1hr drive away!

Lucky you! There are loads of wonderful islands, you won't go wrong on any really, but I think Crete and Corfu are your best choices.
I loved Kassiopi on Corfu, also Acharavi. Good selection of bars and restaraunts there, but none of the lager lout culture.
On Crete try any of the main resorts except Malia, as that is the busiest for the boozy type, lol.
I think you should give Rethymnon a try, on Crete. |

Karpathos.
It is very inexpensive. It has a lot of night life in the summer months.
All the night clubs have shuttle buses that take you back and forth between the clubs.
The beaches are very beautiful, and has The best Beach in Greece; Abella. It was ranked in the Top 10 in all of Europe. |

We had a great time and we are in our mid 30's.
We don't like mad boozy holidays but do like a bit going on.
I would recommend Lefkas.
Take a look.

Go to Zante (Zakynthos). We stayed in Kalamaki. It's right near the beach, has lots of bars and restaurants and there's lots to do. It's pretty cheap too, on the last night we had a 3 course meal with all our drinks which only cost us 37 Euros. I loved it there and want to go back, soon!! |

greece is the right choice, ive been to a few of the islands and loved them all - corfu last year, though the resort dassia was very quiet in september, crete agos nikolis(i think) that was great, not full of club 18-30s but still lively and zante, was too young to remember it well but my mum said it was a great holiday. hoping to get to rhodes sometime soon, i just love greece, the culture is beautiful |

Try Stalis in Crete. It's for couples or people with kids. If you want parties try Malia about 5 - 10 minutes away.
I've been to greece 3 times, once to the Zante, the first time, which was horrible, when i was 9. Twice to Stalis, the first time i was 14? The second time i was 18.
My, mum, dad, brothers and sister all went those times. My sister also went to Stalis for her two week honey moon last June. And we're all going back in may (including my brother-in-law).
Stalis rocks. The people are great. Things are cheap. And they speak English and if they don't you bet the next greek person you bump into will speak it. Unlike Zante.
I love walking up the street when it gets dark, there's such a lovely atmosphere there.
And you can get a three person pizza for the price of a personal pizza in england. The food is nice.
Like any holiday destination abroad though remember never to throw the toilet paper down the toilet and never drink water out of the tap unless you're boiling it first and even then i would recommend bottled water as you can keep it in a fridge.
Remember it's hot out there. So drink plenty of water.
If you see the bar from which the 'happy train' departs, you will find a psuedo cinema showing the newest film releases. They aren't very good copies though. However if you want to watch them you need to buy at least one drink from the bar.
Note for this bar: The owner is called Manos, he is a Newcastle fan, he owns loads of apartments and he also owns a telephone/card shop. |

I cant say about the money part..but milos is a great island, its quite there though.
Santorini is an amazing place to go with your boyfriend, its a "couple" island, without meaning that singles aint goin there lol.It has an amazing sunset and it is famous about it.
It has a good nightlife and the option to choose if you want it to be crowdy or more quite.
Skopelos is a great island as well, but it is not crowdy, and has no night life. |

I stayed in Sadari Corfu last year, and to the left of the centre was a quieter area so you had the best of both worlds |

My boyfriend and I are going to crete in May. We are going to a quiet area! So all you have to do is google basically! Or better ~ the travel agent you would book through will describe the areas that they have!!! |

Pefkos
Pefkos is a small town in rhodes it has some nightclubs a couple a fair few bars resturants but it isnt mad in your face. You can travel from there to lindos by bus or taxi wont cost much its a small fishing village with resturants over the harbour to go for a nice romantic meal together.
I have been to kathalos in rhodes omg there is 1 bar there.
Been to ZANTE too that is much livelier not as bad as
falaraki used to be zante is more in your face now.
i must say though my friend from work goes to falaraki 4 times a year she is in 50's and said its nowhere like it used to be as a big police crackdown on youths brits been too loud rude and crude it has calmed down so much.
my friend and i travelled to kathalos last september and travelled one night to falaraki and yes there were bars resturants shops but not in you face as you see on tv we stayed at kathalos in sept last yr but there is nothing there i think pefkos is better for you and your boyfriend my friend is 21 im 34 we like a night out on hol or two then calm the rest of the time this is what you can be like in pefkos.
we also travelled out to pefkos for a night even though i had stayed a week previously on another holiday in pefkos.
also september to october is out of main season for greece so wont be so noisy and full of kids. |

Looks like narrowing it down to a Greek island isn't really narrowed down with all these wonderful Greek island suggestions!
What about Paros or, a favorite, Crete? |
