How's Europe??????????

I live in the USA and LOVE IT. Don't get me wrong its just I am looking for some change and want to move to Europe. Is it good there? I know what your thinking...depends where...but I mean idk just in general. If I did happen to move it would probably be in London. So yeah just tell me all about Europe and what you like and hate about it.

well im from finland, but live in california

and i think finland is way, way, way better than anywhere in the states...

:)
London is a lot like the U.S., so I wouldn't move there.
I think Greece is beautiful and the people are nice.
Good luck learning the language! I met a lot of nice people there.
Belgium was good too. More people spoke English there than in Greece.

yeah man Europe would be great
and it good to try something new
and their so much culture and you can go to different countryies since their pretty close

i say go for it especially cause the US is in the crapper right now

Rosalie R
Europe is beautiful! However if you want to live there, you really need to speak the language of the country. For instance if you want to live in Poland, your going to have to speak Polish, same in other county's. England is the only country in Europe that has the motehr tongue English, but its awfully expensive there.

Dont move to london? I left my country for that because i thought its the celebrity/party/activity city of the world.. I was let down... Its cold, weather is always bad, people are very unsociable, there is nothing much to do, partying doesnt fit the stereotype that its unmissable, shopping is expensive and boring.... and everything is just too far from each other.. I hated it....
My fav in europe was italy, but then there is the language barrier... turkey is greatttttt too, but the culture is too different to deal with..... scandanevium countries are just too horrible... the topography and geography is great, but who would want to live in a country where ground is always freezing and where ur forced to wear 3 raincoats to stay warm, and where life is sooo horribly routine.?!? no way

Hi Taylor L !

I would not say as "Mary744" that "French suck" because I'm French! She must have had bad experiences and that is a pity!

London seems a very good idea! Avoid downtown unless you are a millionaire; Downtown London is famous for its historical places and... absolutely crazy expensive prices for homes and flats!

If you live in CA, you might hate the weather for a couple of years, but London is warmer than Chicago for example!

Best thing with Europe is that you are about two hours (plane) of everywhere!
Living in London? More or less two hours from Paris, Rome, Berlin, Madrid, Venice, Côte d'Azur and many many other good places...

Ryan Air and other low cost companies may help you to travel without spending all your money!

This may sound a bit stupid, but I would say that there are no bad places to live [not even Manchester, hey?! :) ] as long as you can travel a bit around and if you are curious of anything!

Hope to welcome you in Europe a day or another!

Thom.

i had the same idea once, but i asked people who actually lived there and i got a bad response.
apparently the attitude has change about migrant.
they have problems about the folks from india like we have the problems with the folks from mexico.
one man wrote me personally and said that people are leaving by the crap load and have been for years. he was against me going. that was london or england in general.
other parts of europe, well, i did not get a good response there either. apparently some countries literally stink from the environment.

if i were interested, i would do more research. but those emails i got cured me. i will research other countries now. i hear americans had been going to australia for a while. i wonder why. perhaps i will talk to people who live there. the property may be cheaper, and the cost of living may me better...who knows.

Let's see....What I love about Europe is the Mediterranean countries like Greece, Italy and south-eastern spain (catalunya). What I hate about it is Great Britain (no offense though). If you move to Europe you want to see a nice climate where it's warm in summer and a bit cold in winter (Spain, Italy and maybe Greece) You want interesting sea-food that's delicious, you want pedestrianized streets and you want to be able to swim even at night. What I described there was more of the Mediterranean than Europe but that's the sweet part of Europe. Everything I said I would know.
EDIT: It was horrible to live in London because everything was so badly organized.

London is the best city in Europe !!!
from London u can visit for cheap all Europe !!!You can go to Amsterdam by train or Berlin for 1 hour by easy jet ...London is like New York but still with significant differences...
London is the most expensive world city , but if you find a decent job that shouldn't be a problem ...
Good luck !
