The old Turkish Lira has a bunch of Zeros behind the denomination. Some people still try and gip you buy sliding in an old turkish lira which are worth dirt. Be careful!

Old ones has "Türk Lirası" and new ones has "Yeni Türk Lirası" written on it.
Old ones usually have more than 5 zeros.

If your lira has about a bazillion zeros on it, then it is old lira. The new lira made Turkish money easier to handle.

10 lira was 10 000 000 do you understand? they removed 6 zeros from the money and also "kuruÅŸ" came out again...
for example now, 60 000 000 000 TL is now 60 000 YTL...
