How do I send a letter to a foreign country?

A girl from Tallinn, Estonia gave me her address. I know how to write the address and everything, but what type of stamp do I put on it? Is it a regular 39 cent or for a postcard 27 cent?

Help!

Air Mail, and I think that you would be better off putting 3 39cent stamps, on it.

usps.com and figure out the postage. I have to pay 84 cents to mail letters to England and 75 cents for a postcard. Ah, just looked it up for you, same rate for Estonia.

Depends from where of course... Ask at your local post-office or go to the site of your national post company.

From Belgium it costs 70 eurocent (prior) and 60 eurocent (non-prior) for a normal letter to another European country.

William T
No, the postage is different. You need to go to the post office and have them determine the postage. I've lived abroad and sent correspondence both ways, to and from the US and Europe and Central America. Go to the post office. BTW, if you write on fine stationary or tissue type of stationary you'll save money. But, if you're only going to write on occasion, then it wouldn't matter.

ur local post and tele. office will tell u the details
